I have to say thank you so much for your work Soken. I am not sure about anyone else, but I have to say all of the music I have been hearing this expansion has just been beautifully done.

Especially the night time music. I do think he has outdone himself this time. The boss music is also one of my favorites so far, along with others. And I know some are on the fence about the battle music, lol.

I doubt Soken will ever see this post, but well done sir!

Me! I kind of wish there were more area appropriate battle music instead of just a jarring shift to metal. Thankfully there's an option to disable it. I've really enjoyed most of the other music though, especially the forest music (can't remember zone names to save my life). More of that please!

The Rak'Tika Greatwood (sp?)

Its one of my favorite zones and the music is fantastic.

The only track I have had an issue with was zone battle music (the start of it just seems a bit... Off...)

The rest of the soundtrack has been absolutely phenomenal. Can't wait for it to go on sale. (and collect all of the orchestrion rolls.)


I have the heavensward PS vita limited edition signed by him, it's one of my favorite possessions.

I do really like the music this time around, especially the new standard boss fight theme. The extra touch with playing only the daytime zone music until you restore natural time cycles is very nice.

But did they forget to add a new quest completion jingle? There's a new acceptance one, but completion plays the same sound as it did in Stormblood, which is especially awkward given that it uses part of the main theme from that expansion.

...Just not a big fan of the 'normal' map fight music, the one that plays when you get aggro in the field. Well, the beginning of it, once a few seconds pass by it's OK lol

Yeah that's the /only/ track I'm not fond of. It just doesn't fit the expansion theme for me, which is a shame because not a single other track is out of place.
