This explains why many of my quests are left untouched outside MSQ. I got my fill of 'kill 10 boars' about 15 years ago.

The regular quests in this game have always seemed like a bit of a waste of time. None are voiced, most have you dealing with some insignificant problem, and the bit of lore they give only verifies what you already know. Instead those quests should match the impact that your character brings to the table. Sure when you're a level 4 nobody without a soul crystal it makes sense to clean up a farm of some digging whatevers. It makes sense to go cheer up someone's sister.

But when you're the Warrior of Light or Darkness you need to be doing some pretty important things. Even the MSQ tends to fall short on this at times. Instead of so many fetch quests, we need to be doing missions of world shattering importance. Instead of finding someone's cat, we need to be leading a charge in a war, assassinating a Legatus, or something of the like. Its great when we do great things, but but they are sure far and few between it seems.
