Having graphical crashes, XIV only game to crash.

So i've been having this issue for a couple months now, I thought I had found a fix but it turned out just to be a band aid fix because the issue is back now and worse than ever.

    My PC specs
    Asus ROG Strix B450F Mobo
    AMD Ryzen 7 2700x
    16gb ddr4 3200mhz ram
AMD RX590 8gb Fatboy graphics card
    650W psu
Coolermaster masterbox pro 5 case (plenty of fans)

Drivers have all been updated. AMD Radeon 19.7.1 software installed, Direct X 12 is my version.

So the issue in a bit more detail, is both my monitors will turn black, flicker, and then say there is no input. But the sound works just fine and i can tell my inputs are still fine because if im in the open world i can still use my keys and hear my character move. Nothing besides a hard reset with the power button fixes the issue to boot back up either.

Now FFXIV is THE ONLY game i have this issue with. I can play Division 2, Gears 4, Apex, anything I want for hours on end and i get no crashes whatsoever and alot of those games are far more graphically demanding on my PC than XIV is.

Has anyone else had this issue and might know a good fix? Thanks!

Good afternoon and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

You mentioned that you were able to fix the problem temporarily, correct? What exactly did you do to fix it?

When did this start happening? Do you recall anything changing/updating on your PC that coincides with this?

Can you submit a Final Fantasy XIV system report? Simply go to the 'Config' option on the Final Fantasy XIV launcher and to the right of 'System Information' click on 'Display.'

We hope we can be of assistance in helping you enjoy the exciting world of Final Fantasy XIV!

I was getting constant Direct X crashes, so I did some searching and found that XIV apparently doesn't cooperate with high clock speeds on graphics cards. I lowered my clock speed by a little bit and haven't had one since. FFXIV was the only game I've had this problem with.

For reference, I've got a GTX 1080ti, and generally use ASUS GPUTweak II. The Overclock and Gaming Modes give me crashes in XIV, if I switch the the Silent Mode (which lowers clock speed), no crashes.
