Lack of End Game Content

Personally, I'm happy for how content is spaced out. It gives me time to level other jobs, grind FATEs and Hunts for minions and orchestration rolls, work towards the Amaro mount... while working full time and trying to have life outside FF14. There hasn't been time where I log in and have nothing to do.

I have no idea what Endgame content means. But people need to stop focusing on purely gear lvl increase etc.
Achievement farming, treasure maps, crafting, housing, glamour, mount and minion farming, Orchestrion farm, HoH, Eureka Relic.
I used to play WOW from 2004-2011, and I found their content very lacking compared to what I am getting from FFXIV.

But you should also stop comparing and try turning XIV into WOW, as I dont want to play WOW again personally. If you find the content in WOW fun, then go play WOW until bored and then come back to XIV inbetween patches.

I just really hate how Activision Blizzard is behaving and will never give them my money again personally.
And Scottzone is another LazyPeon who bought LVL/Story skip so all his credibility towards XIV is null and void

From the youtube vids I checked, he has played the entire story, didn't level boost his character, and did older raids in minimum ilevel. So let's be fair in criticizing here.

To be fair, alot of the anti-peon people are just FFXIV fanboys/girls who doesn't know better than to join the hate crowd with pitchforks and torches.
So it doesn't surprise me that they will put a tag on other people aswell. Because when one is ignorant they rarely do research before making a claim.

I just watched the video, or rather listened to it It's funny that the way he described criticism is exactly how it is thrown in this thread. In my post I went over what I personally do lately. There is definitly a lack of endgame, content, if there was more I would be playing my mains more. It is very hard to have a discussion on these particular forums, without your points being thrown out. I have tried it before when I criticized the leveling environment. I would like to see more endgame specific content added, but if it is, hopefully it is actually good.

I believe this is his 1st expansion launch so his perspective is skewed a bit with how much end game content there has been for the previous level caps.

But there is and has always been a lack of end-game content(lv80 only content) for FFXIV until mid way through an expansion. It is how this game is structured and doubtful it would change as that would require different patch cycles which they seem hesitant to ever do again after the 3.0 -> 3.1 delay.

That said they have been slowly working on adding more, we are going to have another dungeon with savage release which they have never done for previous X.05 releases, Ultimates in SB were a very welcome addition and its good to hear they had plans to continue making them as these also made dungeon gear relevant something no other content has been able to do outside leveling. Baldesion Arsenal while a poor implementation was really good content and brought a lot of the community together.

The big problem with all these are they are not going to be coming for patches(3 months to 1.5 years) and when you look at a base expansion it is lacking but the devs are aware and do try to add more to it should resources allow.

Scottzone literally defends the story experience having played through it and criticises Lazypeon for jump skipping.

What? I don't think you're right about Scottzone... unless I'm missing something I remember him saying he LEVELED thur all the expacs til shadows. As he holds a VERY different opinion then lazypeon.. he even mentions it in one of his streams. So unless I missed something I think you're wrong on that part.

Towards the end of SB I was basically just grinding out random achievements after having savage on farm mode for several months.

There's really not that much to keep people occupied on the combat side of things, and I'm doubting the Ishgard Restoration is going to offer much to DoL/H classes either.
