Endgame hasn't even come out yet, maybe everyone should see how hard Savage is before moaning about a lack of content? What if it's another Gordias?

Yeah, no. I've heard this way too many times over the last 4 years, and it's obvious that the same formula for endgame has already been followed again. It's pretty obvious how it's going to go down.

Maybe, just maybe, part of the success of FF14 is being it's own type of MMO. It doesn't try to be something for everyone, but rather, it does cater a bit more to the so-called casual audience.

and here's the kicker - maybe that's ok.

People who are happy with the game, a population that steadily keep increasing, keeps repeating the same mantra: "Im ok, if you aren't, there are other games" and they aren"t interested in changing the structure of the game cause it works for them.

Games with a different aesthetic (EOS) or a different gear structure (WoW) can exist to cater to different audiences, and that's ok. There doesn't need to be ONE MMO that caters to everyone on the planet that wants to play an MMO.

Like, you don't need to go to Disney and tell them their park would sell more tickets if their was more violence and roller coasters. They are fine, and maybe another park would suit your taste better?

Some people are like that girl who demanded french fries at Taco Bell.
It's funny because savage used to have a higher difficulty, as did even certain MSQ fights, but then casuals complained and the difficulties of these things were lowered to accommodate them. Even still, at that point, I never complained when casuals constantly asked for things. Without this hardcore crowd, and those who came from FFXI, FFXIV may not even have been alive today for you to enjoy. Hell, the MMORPG genre as we know it may not even exist currently. We've been sitting back as the genre, and this game becomes more and more casualized. I sat back silently as you all requested glamour and minigames. Yet, if we even request anything at all there's a pushback against us. Why can't you simply live and let live? Is it so hard?

It's more like I was used to fries but then a crowd of people demanded Taco Bell. Then all the burger joints in my city were demolished and replaced with Taco Bells. Then all of a sudden I can't find the fries I used to like anywhere.

You’re kidding me right? We know what to expect. Yoshida ALREADY stated their estimated difficulty is, and it’s been the level they’ve been striving for since creator. It came straight out of the hoses mouth. As long as the difficulty stays the same, it will not keep players involved until the next patch.

Well, it's really going to depend on the player- but for the hardest content, if it continues with such low clear rates, it may entertain some people for a week or two, or months. The only way to really keep it 'relevant' to those who clear it first is to put an endless gear grind on it- I mean, if we had a TF system like in WoW, there wouldn't be complaints of nothing to do since it'd take you the entire xpac to be BiS even as a hardcore player, you'd still be farming it over and over.

There are really only two ways to keep those that blow through content as fast as possible- make the content so close to impossible that nobody can do it and thus alienate even more players from endgame which in turn makes it harder and harder to justify putting dev time into making it, or putting in an endless grind such as TF'ing gear or azerite farming. But that has its own problems- one is that those that can't farm 40+ hours a week feel like they're endlessly behind, and often just wait for catch up mechanics, and frankly even for those that do it they tend to find it extremely menial and boring.

If it were up to me, I'd suggest adding more bridging difficult content as a priority over ultra hardcore- if you can ease players into the difficulty, you're far more likely to get people interested. If there were more players doing the hardest content, it becomes easier to justify putting dev time into it.

But we aren’t asking to please those that are blowing through the content. This is in regards to the average raider. The people who blow through the content (like world firsts or try hards) with never be happy unless the game was flooded with raids. We don’t want a bunch more raids, enough with that nonsense. Most raiders don’t do that.

It won't be. Devs learned that lesson the hard way. They will NEVER release something as bad as Gordias at the begining of an expansion... I still hope they would bring something almost as bad towards the end instead of sticking to baby difficulty all the way through.

They've learned a lot over the years no doubt, and this is one of those things. But they can't let the concept of Diadem die, so...hopefully they'll learn that lesson too eventually.

While I cannot give a specific date on when personal housing will be implemented, I can say that prices will be completely separate from free company housing, and, naturally, far more affordable.
