Lack of End Game Content

Absolutely and I understand staggering the content. But as I mentioned, even with the addition of 4 boss fights doesn't come close to what other MMORPG's have as standard end game.

Might I suggest you go play one of those other MMORPGs then? FFXIV doesn't have to cosplay as WoW to be good, indeed better, it already does that just by being itself.

Clearly you are looking for an experience the game doesn't offer and, after years of the formula, will never offer.

Content, esp. end-game content doesn't fall from the sky, you need people and resources to create that. This games developer, as for any game, only have a finite amount of resources to do stuff with. So, for more new end-game content to be created, other content would have to be cut.

So OP, which content would you see to be cut for your new end-game content, and why would your content to be more important then that which would be cut ?

The game and playerbase is growing. Doesn't it make sense to invest some more of the that money into raising the bar?

We have more subscribers than we had for Stormblood's release and we are giving the same (if not less) content.

If they added more end game content, maybe the sub numbers would retain more.

There you go again, snide remarks because people disagree with you. I specifically meant levelling other jobs upon completion of the level cap MSQ, which essentially means you've "completed" the game and as such now have to find other things to do.

Except that the director himself has stated on numerous occasions that it's okay to take breaks from his game to go and play others, in fact he actively encourages it.

That’s seemingly not the kind of game Yoshi-P wants to make, and Square-Enix seems fine with it. The only thing chasing WoW has done, for competitors, is sink them faster.

The title, and the OP content asking for generic impressions doesn't match much. Maybe a question mark were in order to be added to the title...

XIV lacks in nothing imho.

There are tons of different things, some of them I'm not interested (maybe), some other I like them a lot. This game gives you a ton of different options and I never saw so much different things you can do in a single mmo. And if I still here, proof I didn't ran out of options yet.

Why does the suggestion always come straight to "Play something else", instead of constructively considering, that maybe after all these years the formula is getting a bit stale. Maybe its time to add something more. The game isn't the same as it was since ARR and shouldn't confined to being as such.

We haven't even reached a month yet. Eventually they will add new Deep Dungeons, Alliance Raids, Eureka updates (or whatever's the new gimmick), Beast Tribe Quests, more Ultimate Raids and more EX Trials etc. like usual, which should be "enough" content to keep players busy.

Yes, they can (and should) add more content but personally as it is right now and how short the updates are (minimum of 3 months/14 weeks) it's not too bad.

The formula is fine, did you never stop to consider that it's the formula which continues to drag the game from strength to strength?

Finishing everything up to Savage and having out-farmed both Ex Trials after only a few weeks of a 50+ hour story expansion dropping is not the norm. You are an outlier and Yoshi P, wisely, does not seek to detract from the tried and tested formula to cater to you. Though it seems you haven't done Ultimate yet so idk.

Welcome to Final Fantasy XIV where the unofficial motto is that Glamour is the True End Game. You want a WoW experience though and, for that, a game exists. It's called WoW.
