I know that SE doesn't like discussing of damage meters and their stance is anti-meters but are there any addons for this game anywhere?

If you know they're not a fan of meters, why do you think they'd be in favor of literally any add ons?
I've been told that there are dps meters you can get but that any discussion of meters in any form of written chat will get you banned for whatever length of time. Other addons could be used that doesn't include dps recording/comparisons. Crafting addons. Map addons. Quest addons. Lots of things. That's what I'm curious about.
If you seek help on this matter, i recomend r/ffxiv.
There people can freely speech about this matter without fear for repercussions.

The game doesn't support an addon interface, so the only addons that exist are made by hacking into the game's software, which is expressly against the ToS.
The reason why there isn't an officially supported interface (enabling addons without hacking) is in part because of SE's stance against damage meters, but I suspect that it's more to do with their concern for keeping the computer and console systems on an equal footing and the difficulties with getting an addon system to work on consoles. After all, if it was just about meters, they could provide an addon interface that didn't expose damage numbers to the addons.
