Dark Knight: 5.0x Feedback Thread

I don't care if the jobs easy, or if its Dps is low, i just want it to be somewhat fast pace and fun can't be that much to ask.

A bit of a contradiction of what you said at the start.

What id like for Dark would be
Scourge returns as a 60 second cd
Salted earth becomes 60 seconds and shares a CD with scourge
Carve and Split/abyssal drain now share cd at 30 seconds
And Basically want it to work like Bards mage ballad because its probably best case scenario to return to Dark low blow/Reprisal resets kind of play style and also doesn't make C&S/AD feel so bland.

Having cooldowns share a recast timer is the main reason Physical Ranged are being held back on DPS, though for one BRDs songs it makes sense to do that for some of their cooldowns but only for while that song is active and DRK doesn't have anything that would warrant such hard nerf.

DRKs DPS would probably be even lower than it already is, and still does not address the "just spam 1-2-3 until certain buttons light up or come off of cooldown" problem that it has.

I dont mind edge of edge and flood of edge i do want another just single Target one thats like deliriums old dot just not -10% int obviously

I just want DRK to have 2 burst combos, AoE and single target (that don't share a unique cooldown but have heavy cost MP but reduces Blood Gauge cost of Bloodspiller and Quietus respectively

Living shadow all flash but hardly changes anything gameplay wise wouldn't mind some say in what fray did.

If Living Shadow was a maintenance buff(would still cost 50 Blood Gauge) that lasted as long as Darkside is active, I would actually tolerate it(maybe give it an idle stance when the player character isn't attacking anything for extra flavor).

Dark mind should be 10% physical and 20-30% magical dark Knight should excel in magic mitigation not be gimped by it ,no reason why it should be Discount rampart when every other tanks CD effects magic too.

Bring back Dark Dance, but have it be 100% parry rate, and have it upgrade into Dark Mind.

Delerium been said a million times off brand IR doesn't even effect LS i wouldn't mind if it had gave everything no MP cost or something but atm its pretty mediocre.

20 Blood Gauge cost to restore HP and MP while keeping the cooldown.
EDIT: Just realized that recast should be at least 25 seconds with the cost and effects.

Blood weapon infuriate in 5gcds speed buff back would be nice

I would make Blood Weapon give speed buff back to where you don't have to worry about stacking skill speed, but also make a maintenance buff AND have it be Bloodbath on steroids, but nerf Blood Gauge generation to 5.

Pretty much it sure Living dead is a bit lob sided and is a bit of a resource vacuum

Just remove the requirement to activate Walking Dead, and remove healing requirement.

dark missionary being magical only but so are 98% of raid wide so not a big deal.

I wish it is a group HP shield while also mitigating magic damage.

For more clarity, at the start, you asked for things that you would like to see changed on DRK.

You asked for things that slow down DRK even more which is the opposite of what you put near the end of the rant

So which is it; a faster DRK with more buttons to press, or a slower a DRK with even less buttons to press with the current illusion of it being fast?

I want more buttons to press but how long attack animations are for DRKs offensive skills means they need to be GCD, but make Blood Weapon to where you really don't need Skill Speed(and spell speed because of how DRK spells work), thus making the illusion more believable.

Power Shot is not a skill that DRK or any other job has, DRK DID have a Weaponskill called Power Slash but no longer exists because it was an enmity combo ender that no longer fits with how they designed "Tank Stances" and if it's still on your hotbar for whatever reason, then you need to delete it because it's not going to comeback no matter how much you or I want it to comeback...

Okay thanks for clarifying. Though I still standby on what I said about abilities sharing a recast timer, as that really holds the job in whatever role it's trying to fill, unless another ability is designed for that sort of thing to work like Mage's Ballad but it should be more like a buff that has some sort of drawback for the reset procs.
