    Dancer Redesign 2.0 Shadowbringers Edition

    First on, I have to say, the Dancer per se isn't a class, unlike Summoner, Monk or Ninja, where I'd like to change too much, but in this thread I want just to show more what kind of tweaks here n there I'd like to see getting done with the Dancer Job.

    In my honest opion is this class by it's current design too shallow, it offers ne real depth it it's gameplay and the "support", that it provides is absolutely mediocre to lackluster based on what I personally would expect from a Dancer as a kind of Backline .DPS Supporter


    The Basics with the Combo Skills are simple and ok, but here could be again Skill Slots saved by using Combo Chain Mechanic, to unify a skill chain that binds currently 3 skill slots, to just 1 slot, so that there is space for two more interesting useful skills to give the Dancde more depth.
    How this should look like with the changes I'd to, will you see in the Skill List.

    PS oh and please, could you change this dumb looking jumping combatstance idle animation to something better looking please, that makes more sense and does look more like something that REALLY does look like a basic combat dance step, like for example being inspiered by Capoeira maybe? This permanent hopping up in down fits more to a Kickboxer, than it does to a Dancer

    Level 1 > Cascade

    Level 2 > Fountain

    Level 4 > Windmill
    Moved from 15 to Level 4

    Level 10 > Reverse Cascade
    Moved from 20 to Level 10

    Level 12 > Fountainfall
    Moved from 40 to Level 12

    Level 15 > Standard Step/ Finish, Rising Windmill, the four Step Skills Jete, Pirouette, Entrechant, Emboite
    Moved Rising Windmill from 35 to Level 15, by this have you now then 3 Skills with Dual Combo.

    Level 18 > Bladeshower > renamed to Blade Pirouette, effect change to: spin yourself around on your own spot and throw blades fast to your surrounding foes, hitting them eventually multiple times, guaranteed if only 1 target.
    Becomes Combo Finisher of Cascade > Reverse Cascade > Blade Pirouette.

    Level 25 > Bloodshower > renamed to Hot Bolero, effect changed to, deals AoE damafe and temporarely increases the Damage of you and your Dance Partner/ Group by 10% for 10s, the duration of it is expanded by 1s for every critical or direct hit that you deal, or your Dance Partner/Group. Max 20s.

    Level 30 > Fan Dance > effect changed to that of the current FD II
    Version II and III get replaced with new skills.

    Level 35 > En Avant
    Moved from 50 to Level 35, nothing so special about it to learn it so late.

    Level 40 > Curing Waltz, Effect changed, heals now periodically as long you keep up the Waltz, but costs 800 MP over time per second/heal impulse. Removes now also every 6s a Condition like Poison, Slow, Paralyze ect.
    Moved from 52 to Level 40

    Level 45 > Shield Samba > renamed to Stormwind Samba, Effect changed, so that it doesn't interfere anymore with Tactician and Troubador from BRD/MAC, does grant Party Members now high increased chance to auto dodge Auto Attacks, while it is up.
    Moved from 56 to Level 45

    Level 50 > Sonic Quickstep > Perform som lighning fast kicks among your dance choreography to nearby targets in a cone in front of you, letting hit shocked targets by that quickness suffer damage over time for 10s by Bleedings from your fast kicks.
    Replaces Fan Dance II

    Level 52 > Devilment > renamed to Death Tango, like its called basically in German, fitting more the Dance Style Naming Convention that this Job should follow more. Effect changed from 20% every 120s to 15% every 90s.
    Moved from 62 to Level 52

    Level 56 > Euphorical Rhumba > You and your Dance Partner/ Group perform an Euphorical Rhumba, dealing shourt ranged Aoe Damage around your positions and the dealt damage will be converted into a percentage of that as MP Recovery to the Dance Members.
    Replaces Fan Dance III, moved from 66 to Level 56

    Level 60 > Closed Position/Ending > renamed to just Dance Partner, becomes later Dance Group.

    Level 62 > Spiraling Hurricane > Combo Finisher of Windmill > Rising Windmill > Spiraling Hurricane, you throw mutiple Chakrams at once, which whirl and spiral around themself , creating a hurricane, that damages foes in line of sight and launches them up, if small and not too heavy. Being hit by this can slow foes, if they get launched up.

    Level 66 > Dance Group > Upgrade of Dance Partner, you can link yourself now to 2 Party Members of different roles.

    Level 70 > Technical Step/ Technical Finish

    Level 72 > Flourish, replaced with Shooting Star, Combo Finisher of Fountain > Fountainfall > Shooting Star. Throws a bigger chakram to the sky, which falls down to the target area to cause the AoE Damage, hit foes suffer on a Burning DoT from the fiery shockwave from the shooting star's ground impact. The dot lasts 5s only, but is strong

    Level 76 > Saber Dance > Effect changed, you become a close ranged fighter and your Dexterity becomes Strength as long you stay in Saber Dance.
    Changes the ranged Weapon Skills to close ranged attacks turning Dancer into a close to long range hybrid job with this skill now.
    Cascade > Reverse Cascade > Blade Pirouette becomes > Stacatto > Scizzor Stacatto > Whirling Dervish, basically the same, but a bit more powerful than the ranged versions as the risk of close range is higher to be hit.
    Fountain > Fountainfall > Shooting Star becomes > Bladeshower > Bloodshower > Dancing Revolution > short ranged Aoes, with Dancing Revolution dealing increased damage so more Dance Partners are under the effect of Death Tango or Stormwind Samba.
    Windmill > Rising Windmill > Spiraling Hurricane becomes > Slow Waltz > Dangerous Jive > Passionate Cha Cha, an aoe that slows hit foes, followed by a cone aoe with increased critical chance, finished with the Cha Cha that weakens for a short while the defense of hit targets, because who can really withstand a passionate cha cha??? It makes you weak ^^

    Level 80 > Improvisation, replaced, monk has already a same named skill also too. Replaced with > Dance Party > Upgrade of Dance Group. You are now able to have up to 3 Dance Partners of different roles to form a Dance Party within your Party.

    Level 18 > Battle Dances > Turns Cascade, Reverse Cascade and Blade Pirouette into a single Skill Combo Chain which needs only 1 Skill Slot.

    Level 30 > Fourfold Fantasy > Enables you to gain up to 4 Feathers of your Fan to perfom with them either Fan Dance, Sonic Quickstep, or Euphorical Rhumba

    Level 50 > Enhanced Commands > 10% stronger Commands.

    Level 60 > Masterful Commands > Further improves Commands by another 10%

    Level 62 > Enhanced Battle Dance > Windmill, Rising Windmill and Spiraling Hurricane become a second Skill Combo Chain that requires now only one Skill Slot.

    Level 66 > Dancing Mastery > You can make now Dancing Groups with 2 Dance Partners of different roles.

    Level 68 > Enhanced En Vant > Increases the Charges from 2 to 3, has now from begin on 2 Charges.

    Level 72 > Masterful Battle Dance > Fountain > Fountainfall > Shooting Star become the final third Skill Combo Chain.

    Level 76 > Esprit > Unlocks the Esprit Feature.

    Level 78 > Beautiful Presence > Replaces the second unneccessary En Vant Upgrade, it's Effect: Raises the chance to gain Fan Feathers from 50% to 66%.

    Level 80 > Enhanced Dancing Mastery > You can make now lastly Dancing Partys with up to 3 Dance Partners of different roles.
    Have you a Dance Party ready, will grant you Technical Step the Bonus Effect that it will renew the effects of Death Tango and Stormwind Samba as also increases the potency of Standard Steps and performed Fan Dances, if all 4 Dance Members have over 50% Health.

    Making Curing Waltz have more potency but longer cooldown would be a simple and effective change. Using it once every minute and for that pitiful potency, not exactly a thrilling ability to use. If you are gonna add an ability to the game, it might as well have impact, no? Your idea for Curing Waltz though, sounds a bit like Foe Requiem. In general, I'm just not really into the idea of the entire MP bar being used for just one ability, which is why I'm kinda glad Foe Requiem isn't around anymore. It's almost like stance dancing but for DPS.
