    Visual C++ Installation Error

    Hello, all.



    I built my 3900X system today and it won't let me install FFXIV. It worked fine on my other desktop and laptop.



    I've installed all the Visual C++ redistributables since 2010 and Windows is fully updated.



    Does anyone have any tips on how to proceed? I'm desperate.

    Can you provide the full error message you are getting?

    When you updated Windows, did you install any 'Optional' or 'Recommended' updates? These usually aren't installed even if Windows says it's up to date.

    I fixed it by performing a clean boot as described here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/...oot-in-windows



    Hopefully this helps other people who have this problem!
