When are you opening more housing.

Hello. Apartments are rubbish. Here I am, standing for hours, wasting what would be valuable game time just because I want a house. Why do you make it feel like a punishment and not a reward for the millions of gil I worked for and saved? Your housing system, in my opinion, has been broken since launch. Here I sit, paying to play the standing game, monthly. When are you unlocking more housing?

Same here. It's unbelievably bad and I'd very quickly give up a whole patch cycle if it meant they fixed this.

If it was some menial insignificant thing, like the freaking Diadem or whatever, I'd understand. Nobody wants it anyway. But this is literally THE most requested feature, with the highest demand and the lowest supply. That they'd refuse to provide is astonishing to me. I was ready to eat up the excuses when the system was released but by this point it is impossible for me not to be cynical, when this game has repeatedly been cited as Square's most profitable videogame product in their fiscal reports.

It's like they actually don't want to do anything about it, it's baffling.

SE said they'd be working to address the housing situation after all launch content is released. That doesn't mean we'll see an immediate solution. It can take time to implement changes.

As for the idea that housing is the most important thing in the game, it's not. This is a game built around combat and adventure. That content will always come first. Housing is side content it will never be their priority when it comes to use of development resources.

If you want a game where housing is your primary content and a priority to the development team, you need to look elsewhere because this game will never satisfy you. Choose a game that provides what you want instead of expecting a game that exists for different reasons to change to please you.

The only thing baffling is your assertion SE doesn't want to do anything about housing. They have already made many changes over the years to improve the system and have stated they are working on more.

the last major housing update was patch 4.2 whereby Shirogane was opened and more plots were added.

Here's hoping 5.2 would be the one with major housing updates.

Yes, I enjoy crafting and farming and want the house. I want better housing, so do thousands. We have since it was implemented. It's been broken for YEARS. I never said that housing in the current state is fine. I never said people shouldn't want improvements to the system.

That's you getting emotional and twisting what I said out of context because you want to feel like a victim (why else did you state you felt like the game was punishing you in your original post?). Strip the emotion out of your thinking then go back and read what I wrote again using adult reasoning skills.

Feel free to counter the points I made in my other post when you're ready to have a rational discussion.

Are you really going to be happy when you still don't have a house just because you lost it in a lottery?

Better for SE to spend their development time and resources fixing the real problem than wasting them on a bandaid that won't make players any happier in the long run and pushes getting a real solution implemented even farther into the future.

When Yoshi-P was ask if Ishgard reconstruction would unlock a new housing district, he said "Its up to the players". Make of that what you will.

Housing lottery system would be ideal. You apply to be granted ownership of the land/house in question and the game notifies you if you were successful in obtaining the land/house at which point you pay for the house. At this point it would probably be fine to only allow people to apply for ownership of one house at a time, if they prefer another location that opened up they can cancel the first and then apply for the 2nd location. If someone doesn't pay for the house in maybe 3 days it would be released back to the public to opt in for.

Alternative is of course instanced housing. Either way looking forward to positive changes in the Ishgard housing patch.

Apartments can be quite nice if you're willing to take the time to make them so. I recently renovated mine and it came out wonderful!






I'll admit I would like them to up the item count for apartments to 150 or 200 and perhaps add an indoor garden object, but other than that there's not much else I feel the need to ask for feature wise.

Apartments are hardly "rubbish" imo.
