I know this isn't WoW but is there a healbot type option for healers?

Just to toss in a quick 2 cents:
- I used to heal in WoW as well (druid, priest, paladin), and I agree that addons helped a lot in that game
- I've picked up healing in this game as well (AST so far but I plan to do them all)
- It was a small jolt not having addons, but admittedly I'm at a point where I don't feel I need them now

Because the general healing gameplay is SO different here in FFXIV from WoW, namely the difference in there being constant rapid-fire shifts in battle and damage, that not having that constant roller coaster has made it so that I don't even feel the need for addons anymore.

I tried macros at one point but even that felt clunky in comparison to simply clicking characters when needed for specific spells. Some other folks mentioned this but at higher levels, most of the big healing events have AOE-based spells to handle and those are a breeze to position and fire off. Plus the UI is SUPER customizable so it's easy to set things up to make clicking an easy, smooth process.

All in all, I'm liking the system here in FFXIV. I'm really enjoying this brand of healing as it has a fun mix of doing small heals, big heals, utility, and dps options (I'm still loving that I have an AOE dps spell!).

Pssst, you never needed them in WoW either. The only addon that was mandatory was dbm or equivalent in the last few expansions because bosses were designed with them in mind, there was no indicators or anything anymore. In FF14 you always have cast timer, ground indicator or some other way to know what's coming.

People who don't know the history of such addons should just zip it. The current iteration of the addon is just for people too dumb to write macros.

But welcome to 2021, it hasn't worked like this for literal decades. Some people can't help but live in the past just for the sake of not-so-subtly insulting others and assuming things they never asked for. If you knew what it had been doing for the past... oh, just 10+ years, you'd know it not only no longer works like this but also offers a lot of other features.
That's why it's so cute that you think it still does that.

Considering WoW isn't 20+ years old, the word "decades" doesn't apply. Furthermore, the addon is worthless, it does nothing a macro doesn't do so why would you even want one unless you want the version that did work like it did in Wrath? You can do a quick google search for the macros. The UI features are just for trash healers who don't pay any attention to anything, and just play the UI instead of the actual game, because that's what WoW has devolved into.

You cant make a macro that lets you press the left mouse button to heal and right mouse button to heal2 while clicking a certain person in chat with said button.

Hm, Cure I is useful now? I remember not even needing it on my bars during SB...

I generally only ever use it in <30 content. The free Cure II proc is not worth casting Cure I for imo.
