the REAL problem with Hrothgar

you know, i know how this happened, the flag for the unique reaction is for Miqo only, but as this is one of the first things i thought to try, i'm surprised that no one at ffxiv thought to change this, though they were probably more busy with the hats.

but i was so hoping that there would at least be the miqo reaction.

Not add anything but given this particular situation just slapping the Miqo response in for Hrothgar would make a lot of sense.

I wish characters acknowledged the player race more often in general, though. It would be a way to add racial flavor without actually adding racials.

Like Gridania was weird to visit for me. People muttering about those untrustworthy Duskwight to me, an obvious Duskwight.

nah not really, itd just have been a cool little thing. and i suppose changing old content isnt usless for new players, its more of a "aww" than a "DAMN IT SE"

I just wrote it off as being akin to Sorobon's reactions to Genbu being a talking turtle. Hrothgar might not necessarily consider themselves related to cats in that direct a way.

More likely laziness, but that was my headcanon explanation.

I...wouldn't call this a REAL problem. It's a crossover event that they probably can't alter even in the slightest without asking the company providing the assets. And it's probably not worth the time or resources. It's best to focus on future content sometimes.

I took it more so as a sign that with Yoshi saying how we'll likely get new faces as well as his "wolf" comment months ago that maybe it wont be applicable to all Hrothgar someday so no point in doing such.

Seriously though, would be neat if the talking cat acknowledged the Hrothgar are really big talking cats themselves.
