Fatal Error Directx 11000002 - After Patch 5.0 Fixes

I have tried the following, but it's only gotten worse.
    - MS updates
    - nvidia updates
    - removal all nvidia drivers and perform full clean and then reboot then reinstall then reboot again
-remove FFXIV and delete all folders and re-install
    -run as administrator
    -set monitor to 60Hz
-checked IE settings and cleared cache
-tried windowed, fullscreen and fullscreen windowed modes
    -removed all overlays
-clean boot by shutting down all startup items

I suggest toggling between DX9 and DX11, and use "ffxivboot.exe" for DX9, and "ffxivboot64" for DX11. Like I said in my thread here: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t....0-Fixes/page2 , this is a temporary "fix", or in my case, praying to RNGesus.

having the same issue, just started cropping up yesterday having been fine through shb release. New drivers, clean install of ff14 no dice, just viciously crashes at random.

an interesting simularity is we are both running an rtx 2080 card.

    I’m using gtx 870m (laptop) so I don’t think it’s for a specific GPU.

OK, I have completely reformatted my computer. I have run windows memory test. I installed from scratch again. Drivers - up to date. Still doing it. Help!

Good afternoon and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums. I apologize for the delay in our response.

Based on the error messages you are receiving, it looks to be a graphics driver related issue.

Unfortunately, I'm having some trouble seeing your dxdiag. Can you submit a Final Fantasy XIV system report? Simply go to the 'Config' option on the Final Fantasy XIV launcher and to the right of 'System Information' click on 'Display.'

We hope we can be of assistance in helping you enjoy the exciting world of Final Fantasy XIV!
