The only time supply realistically dries up is when a new expansion is released and people stop doing the previous expansion's content. For instance Uznair materials are going up in price now because people aren't doing it so the supply is drying up. But during the course of an expansion, supply is effectively unlimited.
And each of those players is spending part of their limited time. You then spend money to purchase the fruits of their time.

Probably go retake your econ 101 course. The concepts don't seem to have really sunk in.

Econ 101 also states increased competition is good for the market, but you seem to really hate that one.

The environment in an MMO is fundamentally different. Increased competition in the real world is good because it promotes innovation, but in the game we're all limited to producing identical goods in a more or less identical fashion. Innovation isn't possible. Competition is good, but only to a certain extent. I want competition in markets for which I am a buyer and I want a monopoly for markets in which I am a seller. Of course, that's not all that unlike the real world either.

I just don't agree with your conclusion. That's not the same thing.

Your agreement really isn't a factor. This is an objective matter on which you happen to be wrong.

I don't think it is but we obviously aren't going to see eye to eye on this.

Obviously. Only one of us has any idea what they're talking about and the other refuses to listen.
