Thats a great idea, Brynne. Leave the old zones as is, make the new ones instanced.

Everyone who wants housing and cannot get it should flood customer support with support tickets. Force SE to take more notice and hopefully make them more communicative.
They rushed housing due to player demand and we got what we got. This is why we need to let game developers actually develop decent systems instead of screaming and making demands for immediate implementation of thing we feel we should have. But its a two way street because SE should also keep the player base appraised of what they are working on and if something cannot be done tell us why and follow that with something else they have in the works. SE wall of silence is frustrating as all get out. Esp when they mention something once, then never ever again...
The timer works great. I finally bought a house after all these years thanks to the timer. I didn’t have to rush. They opened up when the timer ended and I got one. The timer is a great idea. It stops people from rushing when new plots open. It’s fair because before you had to log in and hope you were not the 1000th person in queue after maintenance.
The problem before was people buying up all the plots before anyone could log in. The fact that a house was open when I randomly logged in proves it works. Now everyone has a fair chance at it.
I don't think all housing should be instanced, but a mix and match is fine. Some people like having a neighborhood feel. But add something like larger apartments with variable cost based on the size and a balcony to serve as a yard. That way you have some instances housing and people can get the size they want without going through all the current crap.
yeah not realy... Let´s take a PErson that can play 2 hours per day thanks to work and family/RL stuff the chance a plot unlocks in those 2 hours is at 8.33% with a normal work sheculde you will log on when most people are around lets say there a 10 then your chance to get that house is at 0.83% sitting around in your free time for a .83% dropchance is pretty badThe timer works great. The reason why people end up camping plots is because housing is too cheap for devaluation to do it's job. You wouldn't find groups of players camping the same plot for a day if the prices were brought up.yeah not realy... I realy doubt that. Many people running around with 10+Million Gil.Also a bunch of People running around with below 5 mil going back to what i posted before there are people that can´t sink the time into the MB or other stuff and have to hardly grind their way up towards the prices for a small plot.
I won´t say everybody has the right to get a house because yes you have to work for them but camping a plot with what little time you have to enjoy the game is infuriating.
Buying via Lottery would be counterintuitivly the most fair system bacause you are in for the roll while still getting to enjoy other activitys with your FC/Friends heck add an invisible bonus for every time you failed the roll and your chances go up after time granted on some servers there will still be problems but at least people would not get pissed about sitting around for ages
10m would barely even get you a small house on most servers back then...I realy doubt that. Once again, raising the prices would remove the hordes of zombies that are waiting for the hidden timer to expire.
Except "removing the hordes of zombies" isn't (and shouldn't be) the goal. The goal should be making player housing more accessible to more players. Hiking up the prices does the exact opposite of that.
How many men am I involved with? Well that depends... do you mean men as in males? Or just midlanders?
There used to be 450 houses per server, no apts. Now we have 4,320 houses per server with more apts than players. Where does it it stop huh? When everyone gets a house? They have already stated they can't keep adding more and more. It's about time some balance comes back to housing and it starts with prices.
