UI Minimized and Game Runs Extremely Slow

I've been playing the game for a while on PC and was file earlier this morning. But I started tinkering around with the display settings just to see what Bordered Windowed, Fullscreen and the Higher resolution settings would look like. I always play in Windowed mode and I think the UI resolution is 100% at the Standard HD level. However when I started clicking on the different settings my UI started getting small so I clicked default to go back to how it was except it messed up the game even moreso. The UI is so small I can't even see it and when I tried to play in windowed mode it shrinks the game window down so that it's only encompassing part of my screen. When I maximize the window the frame rate crawls to about 8fps. I've tried tinkering with the settings and the best I can do is go full screen mode at 200% resolution. But things such as my cursor and all the text are huge as well as the game looks fuzzier. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game per the support chats instruction but it just came back to the wrong version as how I left it. Does anyone have an idea or can help?

Any one have any idea? Here's an image of what the game does when I click the default option under display settings. All the UI is perfectly balanced and fps is up to 40 which is fine, but when I maximize the screen it slows and turns into the picture above on the previous post.

Good afternoon and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

The UI scaling is intended to increase the size of the UI based on the resolution you choose. Higher resolutions will need to increase the UI scaling (usually to 200%) in order to be properly visible. What resolution is your display?

Can you submit a Final Fantasy XIV system report? Simply go to the 'Config' option on the Final Fantasy XIV launcher and to the right of 'System Information' click on 'Display.'

We hope we can be of assistance in helping you enjoy the exciting world of Final Fantasy XIV!
