    Can we please have the old Gunbreaker sfx?

    While the big explosions are nice, I much prefer the old blade sounds. The basic 123 combo sounds like you're using a baseball bat underwater. It's muffled and blunt when it should be sharp and quick. The 4 part slash on solid barrel used to be so satisfying with the final hit having a large impact. This is totally gone and it's super unsatisfying to use. I find myself imagining the old sfx in my head. I think it would be best to bring back the slicing sounds and keep the explosion sounds. Then it would be perfect.

    There is already one topic about that but yes - nobody asked for it. Quick update with old sounds would be highly appreciated. Only explosions could be more impactful, not michael bay style though.

    And I almost forgot, what's even worse is that the cartridge combo DOES use some of the old SFX with new explosions. This inconsistency makes no sense. What about my character swinging the blade makes it sound so different between the two combos? This leads me to believe these changes were rushed and unfinished and I just hope that they are still working on them.

    Posted in the other one, but I will post in here too.

    The new sound is completely fine here. There is the slicing sound when you hit the object. But if your camera is away from the object it will be a low sound. Try to change it, or get your camera closer.

    The new sounds are super good. I really liked the wicked talon, it's so impactful now.
    Theold sound it really bad, it's like we are fighting with a toy or a loose weapon that were not tightened well.

    If there's something wrong, I wish they improve the new one, and never go back to the old one.

    It's more of an imbalance of the volume and a change in pitch with the slash sounds. All that needed to be changed was increase the volume of the explosions themselves, leave everything else alone. I'd like for them to go back to the old one but keep our gnashing fang how it is now to some degree... I wouldn't mind hearing both the slice and the explosion, not JUST the explosions. Overall, I feel like I can't hear my own skills or tel even with everyone's skills turned down in volume. I can't tell what I'm hitting because everything sounds the damn same... At least with the old one I could feel the hacks and slashes and the explosions boosted the effects. Now people are like MORE EXPLOSIONS and now all I hear is nothing but to where I can't tell my hits apart from the next. It's like everyone asked for everything to sound like a fell cleave, so now our ""fell cleave" sounds like everything else we do. There's no longer satisfaction in the combo now because its all the same sound effect, no difference in slicing sounds even. Old one sounded like it flowed from one into the next and the explosions just needed a volume raise.

    EDIT: I think Id just like our old keen edge combo back. The new gnashing fang is alright sounding. Our old blasting zone too please.

    The JP forums had a few players complaining about the noise it made before so there definitely was a request there to get it changed and you how the devs take more notice of the JP side of things.

    Does PLD sound change if you're using one of those stick/plank weapons?

    Myself, I can't help it but Keen Edge really sounds like it should be on MNK.

    Doubt it but I hate the sound of just flailing a stick around... No real impact whatsoever... Old sound effects had more impact...

    "Nobody asked for it" is a massively incorrect statement. There were dozens of threads across various message boards asking for GNB sfx to be changed because they "didn't sound right".

    Personally, I find nothing wrong with the new sounds. They sound fine to me. Then again, I didn't have a problem with the sounds before either... I'm fine either way.
