Gear in this game looks TERRIBLE. I’m sure at least someone over there is aware of it.

That's very unfortunate.

Well, I wasn't the least bit surprised to see more white dresses thus far for healer's Eden gear, but it was a big shock to see the striking set be the poor, unfortunate recipient of the dark palette-swap. Thematically I don't think it makes much sense and feels like it was shoehorned on a different role this time for the sake of trying to "shake things up." And by shaking it up, I meant for the striking set; the healer sets seem to be perpetually creatively stunted into "white robe/dress," outside of rare instances that feel like a happy mistake or uncommon ones where they get a recolor of something from months to years ago.
As for the actual look of this gear? Yeah, it's very unflattering and doesn't seem like it properly fits anything other than a lalafell. Try looking at in on your character from the side; you're a Christmas Tree/traffic cone. Meanwhile I looked over at the scouting gear and see a spiffy white outfit that makes complete sense to see on something like a Ninja /s. Not jealous at all. Too bad healers just can't seem to get body pieces like those.
Can't wait to see the design contest winning sets.![]()
As a BRD the last raid gear I optically liked was Alexander Midas. I can see myself rocking my dyed Anemos Storyteller's Coat for some time to come lol.
I think the white dress looks beautiful, I can't wait to get it![]()
Final Fantasy monks aren't real monks. Monk in FF terminology means a job that fights primarily unarmed or using fist weapons. They've always worn leather or martial arts armor in the games, or what would just be called "clothes" generically. Specifically, their armor is almost always a keikogi, vest, leather armor, or light mail. Never robes. Robes in FF games are almost exclusively restricted to magic jobs.
