Welcome to our official recruiting page for our fc, Vanilla Latte <<LATTE>>!

We are currently a Rank 30 fc that's been around for 5 years now. We're currently looking for active members to join our family so we can enjoy all that Final Fantasy XIV has to offer! Not to mention, we’re also big fans of coffee and tea as well. Nothing is honestly better than Final Fantasy with a nice cup o’joe or some tea to help you get that grind out!

About Us

Luna Kobori and I created our fc with the ideology of being a close-knit family that want to enjoy the game with other active members. From newbies to veterans, we want to be inclusive of everyone since FFXIV is always more fun with others. We are casual, meaning that we believe that our players should be able to play the game at their own pace. We understand that not everyone may have the time to be on the game, especially since Luna has school and I work during the day. That said, despite our schedules, we still want to try and be active when we can due to our immense love for the game. With the drop of Dawntrail coming up, we hope to find other players who we can enjoy the game with while including old content as well!

In terms of content we do together as a FC, this includes:

- Maps - who doesn’t love money? We normally run the current types of maps but have run older expansion maps as well such as the ones from Stormblood and Shadowbringers.
- Daily Roulettes - gotta grind out for that exp!
- POTD/HOH/EO/Criterion - love deep dungeons? So do we! If we have people who are interested, we'll try and plan for these types of events!
- Mount Farms - birbs, ponies, doggos, dragons, and kitty cats? Who doesn't want it all? Don't worry - we'll still help with mount farms even if we have the mount.
- Savage Learning Parties - Want a taste of savage but never really ran before? We occasionally host learning parties for old and new savage content so people can get a taste.
- Crafting & Gathering - Learn how to be self-sufficient! We can help with the fundamentals of crafting and work on projects within our workshop together. We have several members who are really into crafting and can always help and provide guidance!
- Holiday Events - We normally try to host holiday-themed events throughout the year which includes screenshot contests and mini-games. Participation allows you to win prizes and most importantly, spend time with the FC!

With the various amount of content we run, it can be difficult to schedule everything - that said, we try to cater to our members as much as possible to include the types of content they want.

Qualities We Want in Prospective Members:

- Friendly and respectful attitude (Able to take a joke and have general positive traits)
- Newbie Friendly (Able to help others)
- Casual Friendly (Acceptance of others’ play time)
- Love for the game! (No point joining to complain!)
- Active in game and discord (We understand that not everyone will be on all the time but we still expect members to try and interact either in game and on discord.)

Things We Currently Provide:

- 2 FC Buffs a Day! (Willing to swap out one on occasion to help members out) - buffs change depending on types of In-game events that are being hosted
- Large, decorated Empyrean House with NPCs, Workshop, and a nice gathering space inside - also close to the hot springs for some relaxing comfort!
- General Assistance in activities and questions!
- Discord Server
- Close to a Marketboard
- Guidance for newer players - such as queing into dungeons together and helping with rotations for classes.

Active Times:
A lot of our members are more on the older side so one can expect normal activity time in the evenings. This is usually anytime after 4 PM PDT / 5 PM MDT / 6 PM CDT / 7 PM EDT. We have some members who are late night gamers but due to the large amount of members who work during the day, those members are few. One can expect more activity on the weekends.

Hello, in this post I'll be going over what our application process looks like and how our two-week trial works

First and foremost we focus on close-knit and lasting friendships. We want like-minded members who also want to make friends and converse with each other. Which brings us to the first thing we're looking for.

- Social Activity: We want our members to have some social activity. We understand people can have social awkwardness or are shy. We only ask our members to try. We want to see you try and talk within our FC chat in-game AND Discord server. We're not scary people, and we want to get to know you.

- Personality: We want members who have a positive attitude and are friendly with one another. We know not everyone will get along with everyone, but we expect our members to remain civil and be grown adults with interacting with others. We also encourage our members to have patience and some understanding. We've had experiences before where a member has verbally put someone down for not following a mechanic correctly and had become defensive when spoken to privately about the issue. We understand that not every experience will be a pleasant one when entering instances with other players. However, we want to encourage our members to instead be the ones to extend the hand and help other players rather than jumping to the conclusion that they're the worst player and should never tank/heal/DPS again. You have no idea what others are experiencing, what possible disability they're facing, or simply the fact that they're new.

- Open Communication: We want our members to be open with us. If there is something going on in your life that may prevent you from logging on, please let us know! We're not here to judge or tell you that you can't take that time. We completely and respect that real life comes first. All we ask is to not ghost us. Failure to communicate could potentially cause misunderstandings and result in you being removed from the FC unintentionally. We want to work with you as long as you can work with us.

- Discord: We heavily rely on discord to communicate outside of the game and to announce events. We require all our members to use it to communicate in. It's not just for voice, so don't be discouraged to use it. It has a beautiful chat system and we have all kinds of channels for you to post in. Not only that but because we use it to chat it in, it allows us to further bond with you and create that close-knit. It's an amazing free tool and we love it.

Two Week Trial

All our new members will go through a two-week trial. During those two weeks, we'll be looking at how you interact with us and how active you are. We've had experiences where we had members join and not talk at all in-game or in the discord and it truly defeats the purpose of having a close-knit mentality in the FC. We want our members to be interactive with us. We're here to play a game together. If you never bother to ask us to do something, or not try and participate with others, then we're not for you. We're not solo players. We here to play together because the game is always better when playing with friends. We understand we're not for everyone, and you're welcome to leave if you feel we're not right for you. All we ask is that you give us the heads and be like, "Hey, thanks for the opportunity to be apart of your FC but I just don't feel it's right for me." We won't have any hard feelings and we will wish you the best.
