dx11 no solution

Hello, I'm posting this because I can't find any more possible solutions. When I installed Shadowbringers I started getting error messages like the one in this picture. Sometimes I can go hours without the error, and other times it happens every time I log in. It happens the most when I'm in Eulmore or Crystarium, but it even happened once during Shiva. I haven't made much progress in the story because I crash after every step of the Eulmore questline. I've been looking for days to find people who resolved this same issue, but all I find is more people with the same problems. I was really sad to find out that last night's patch didn't fix things for me. Let me know if you have any insight as to why this happens.

Yeah hopefully you guys find a fix for this one. It will be a shame to end a 4 year loyalty over this

Just want to chime in and say that I've had the same problem as yours, and after trying to fiddle with software to no avail (I've tried everything except reinstall windows 10 itself), I've found out that it's my hardware that's causing the problem.

As a background, I've encountered ffxiv_dx11 error ever since I moved my PC to another room (which is coincidental with 5.0 update and windows 10 May update, which makes it super hard to pinpoint what changes caused this)

It turns out that after I pull out GPU and RAM from their slots, cleaning all fans (Case / CPU / GPU) then put them all back in, dx11 error stop appearing.

So I concluded that FFXIV might be more susceptible to even a flicker in GPU renders (other games might be able to resume its operation but FFXIV does not). So if you have done something like moving your PC or modifying your hardware in some way, it might be worth it to try this. Plus you'll result in cleaner PC anyway

When did this start happening? Do you recall anything changing/updating on your PC that coincides with this?

According to your System Report, your graphics drivers are a bit out of date, you may want to do a clean install of the most up-to-date versions.

You may also want to try a clean boot. Simply open the task manager and select the 'Start up' tab. Disable everything here and restart the PC. This will make sure that no background processes are interfering with the game.

This is a laptop, correct? Double-check that it's not overheating or that none of the vents are being blocked.
