Road to 70 Buff

Does anyone know if buff transfers with your character?? and yes i have buff, but wondering if it transfers cause server i wanted to be on just opened up

It keeps only when you still meet the conditions on destination server.

I was told if you have the buff you basically can't transfer anyway. Something about characters being created on preferred worlds are stuck there for 90 days. So by time you can xfer off, the buff will be gone.

Not necessarily. If your server was preferred and is now congested, you can take the free transfer to another preferred server and keep the buff. I made a character on Midgardsormr a couple of months ago when they gave me a free week and it was preferred at the time. I didn’t seriously start playing until SHB release, and that server was congested by then. I was able to transfer it to Goblin and keep the buff. The character was only like 40 days old at that point.

This is actually false, I'm on Famfrit, it was preferred and now is congested. I just tried to transfer off and it says I have to wait 90 days.

That’s because it only works when taking the free transfer from a congested world to a preferred world. There are no preferred worlds in NA at the moment, so you’re stuck there.
