I like trusts a lot for when I'm feeling lazy or leveling a class that I am terrible at and don't want to force others to suffer. Leveling them is a bit of a pain though. I usually focus on one class at a time, but I have outleveled my trusts quite a bit. One thing that wouldn't make me mind so much is if once you leveled them, they didn't sync. Ex: You level them to 80 and run Hominster Switch synced to 72, but they stay 80 and wreck everything.

I really enjoy the trust system for my first time within the dungeon. I can take my time with the cut scenes. I can learn boss mechanics at my pace. Hell There was a mechanic or 2 that I had no idea how to deal with until I saw the trust move to a particular spot and then I was like "OOOOOOOOH thats what you do."

As a tank/healer I get annoyed when I am told to pull wall to wall so Trust is a bit more prefered dungeon leveling.
As a dips I don't mind spamming AOE if I need to but I like the opportunity to practice my rotation for harder content.

Crazy. I didn't like Trust at all. It was just an overglorified version of the squad dungeons. If I died on a boss, it was considered a total wipe. I found fairly quickly that the issue for me wiping was because one of the AI kept grabbing the tether (that Mheg dungeon) I had at first for some reason. It was fairly annoying and slowed an already slow run way down.

But I have to say, I think I prefer dungeoning with people because I've met some pretty amazing players via dungeon.

I won't be coming back to FFXIV's forums. The forum vibe is way too venomous and brings out the worst in me. I don't like who I am on the forums, so it's best to distance myself.

Alphinaud tends to struggle healing in a two pack pull so I stick to solo pack pulls as a DPS at this point. One thing that is good that others have noted is you can initiate a pull then AFK for a bit while the trusts DPS the mobs down.

As the trusts don't AoE apart from LB's most runs tend to go for about 25-30 minutes compared to a regular duty finder of maybe 20-25 minutes so in general they take longer to complete.

The trust system is welcome for the instant queues and no competition on loot but if it wasn't for completion sake for the title I would likely have left them all at level 71 and went with the duty finder queues even if they take 10-15 minutes to get into because in that time you can do other world content like fates solo.

I think trusts are a great way to practice with classes or roles you may be unfamiliar with. I ran through each dungeon the first time with the trust party to see the unique dialogue and see the boss mechanics. Other than that I can't see myself using the system at all. The npcs just take too long, don't AOE, etc. I have only ever had one or two runs of a dungeon that took longer than it would have to run with a trust so as a whole it's not worth it to me.

Unfortunately, as a DPS trusts might now be the best thing for leveling (excluding roulette). The queues seem to have slowed to a halt, and the playerbase have evened out into the usual role choices. Before I could get all dungeons from 71-79 in about 5 minutes, maybe 10 max. Now my queues are taking anywhere from 16-26 minutes on average. It's way too much.

    Yes same here.
Good that Thancred dont need a Healer.
Urianger dies at 60%,Yshtola at 30% but we killed the Boss.

Thancred must have high Defence,if he eats a Tankbuster he loose ~30%HP,
every Playertank i played the same Dungeon(77er) lost ~50%.

Trusts are only really slower on trash since they don't AOE. On bosses they almost never take damage that can be avoided so they're very consistent. In DF all it takes is one dps death to have a longer boss kill than with trusts.

    Trusts: 30 minute run.
DF: 25-40 minute run depending on the rng of player quality.

I prefer humans. No matter how difficult they are often. What's next? "Forum Trust" so you only hear conversations that you enjoy and Trust forum users that never talk back?

People are "playing at work" (what an oxymoron!) Some of you mentioned they are enjoying it because the Trust system is just fun for you- I believe that and more power to you. I often run unsync dungeons simply because I remember being Level 35 in Qarn and died - no I saved the world several times and I can finally one-shot the Temple Bees myself. The tables have turned...!!!

But else? One guy at the front page said it out loud what many of these answers sound like: "The others suck, thankfully the "AI" does not do human mistakes because they are...not human". The typical disclaimer does not save your argumentation from either a lack of fun towards the game itself (à la: "It is just a chore, so I rather be with one hand on my phone or "play at work"") or towards the fact it's an multiplayer online game (á la: "Them PUGs are trash, I wish I would play a singleplayer game instead")

I think the system is awful and counterproductive towards this game which is an obvious part of the genre. Probably a fan service: "Now I can run with Urianger and take screenshots!" like taking a photo with Goofy in Disneyland or something.

    Sincerely,
