FFXIV Boot Error: Internet provider does not let me complete version check

I know there are tons of threads about this, but as far as I have searched, I haven't find one thread with my problem (but I'm pretty sure they are a couple).

Thing is I'm sure my internet connection is causing the error because if I change to another internet connection I have no problem at all.

So I recently changed to another internet provider (Axtel) and it was working fine for like 2 or 3 weeks but a couple of days ago it started to give me the next error:

    FFXIV Boot Error
    Unable to complete version check
    [30605][20448][10009][10019]

    I'm using an ethernet connection.

If I change to another internet connection from a different internet provider, I have no problems, the version checks proceeds as always and it opens the log in window.

All the solutions on the forum and reddit for this problems that I checked only ask for check if the antivirus or the firewall is causing problems. I already verified this is not a problem and after that, I realized it was my internet connection.

I hope you can help me to solve my problem.

Thank you all and sorry if it was already asked.

Good afternoon and thank you for posting in the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

How long have you been experiencing this issue? Have you tried things such as resetting the router and changing the Internet Explorer settings? If not, please try the following:

Open the IE browser, open the "Tools", go to "Internet Options" and adjust the following settings:
    - Under the "General" tab, please delete ALL browser history.
    - Under the "Security" tab, please move the slider to the lowest possible settings or no higher than "Medium"
    - Under the "Privacy" tab, click “Advanced” and select ‘Accept’ under both First Party and Third Party Cookies.
    - Under the "Advanced" tab, please make sure that "Allow software to run or install even if signature is invalid" is CHECKED.
    - Make sure that all SSL and TLS (EXCEPT SSL 3.0) are CHECKED. [SSL 3.0 should be UNCHECKED]
    - Hit "Apply" to save the settings, and then "OK, to close the Internet Options menu.
    - Right-Click on the FFXIV launcher icon and select "Properties"
    - Go to the "Compatibility" tab, and change the compatibility mode to "Windows 7"
    - Hit "Apply", then "OK" to save the changes.
    - Please RESTART your PC now. Once your PC has been restarted, Right-Click the FFXIV launcher icon once more and select "Run as Administrator"

    Hi! Thanks for answering.

I've been experiencing the error since last Monday.

I've tried already what you asked me to do before posting here and I tried it again today. It still gives me the same error.

By the way, I play through Steam. I'm not sure if that's relevant.

Thank you for the reply Vikram.

If you have tried the troubleshooting we normally provide and you have no issues if you use another internet service provider, you may be running into an issue along your way to the server. Unfortunately, this means that have very limited control over the issue, since changing settings or configurations within your home network do not make a difference.

In this case, I'd suggest contacting your ISP and reporting the situation to them.

Thing is the other internet service I can connect to is a free, super low wifi public signal that is near my home. So I can't rely on it for playing. I think I will contact my ISP but I have no idea of what to tell them for them to help me. Like "I try to connect to an MMO game and it gives me an error and the support of the game thinks is your fault?" :P Seriously, I have no idea how to address my problem properly for my ISP technical support. Can you help me with that?

Thanks for everything you've done so far.

Thank you for the reply Vikram. I apologize for the delay in our response.

When contacting your ISP, simply explain the situation to them. Explain that you are having trouble connecting to a service and have tried some troubleshooting already.
