I've seen others having this Direct X issue in other games as well, particularly when overclocking their system.

One thing I notice is that the computer has MSI Afterburner installed, which has overclocking features.

Have you done any GPU or CPU level overclocking or voltage changes? This may be why you continue to see this issue even after reinstalling Windows.

If so I would recommend going back to default clock speeds, then see how well your playthroughs go.

    Hope this helps your issue!
Software overclocks will not persist across a windows reinstall. Just an fyi, not sure if thats where you were implying. Also i'm having the same issues as him and I went from being "fine" for months, to not being able to play hardly at all on the 6th of july. I changed literally nothing from the 5th before bed, and the 6th upon waking up.

Yup same i started having problems about the same time as you and i don't overclock and never did so that can't be the problem even if i didn't remake my windows. But i did start to have problem with some other games like skyrim: se too even though it has nothing to do with DirectX11 so idk if its the new rtx driver or the new windows update that did it but its really annoying !

To really mess with you, I have a 1080ti, and i've switched between like 4-5 driver versions. Same issue with all of them

I was thinking along the lines of someone who enjoys overclocking might make sure to tune up every fresh install, kinda like a setup ritual. Personally, I always get rid of the Windows 10 style start menu lol Seems not to be the case here though.

I've not run into these issues yet using a 1080ti, but if I start to get it too I'll be sure to update with my diagnostic info also. Definitely hope ya'll get a quick solution!
