    Display settings reset every day

Whenever I launch the game for the first time a day, it opens on the wrong monitor (Monitor 1 instead of 2) even though the settings in the menu show the main display is #2

I took a screenshot where I identified the monitors and you can see the game running on display 1 when according to the menu option it is open on display 2.

Note that the resolution also changes from 3840x2160 down to 1024x768.

I tried updating graphics card drivers but the problem persisted.

Good morning and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

How long have you been experiencing this issue? Have you tried changing the 'primary display'?

Started happening a few days ago.

How do I change the 'primary display'?

When I change the display to Display 1 in the menu then the game switches onto the proper monitor (what my graphics card and os recognizes as display 2)

But by the time I boot up my PC and launch the game tomorrow the game will open on the wrong monitor and the resolution will be reverted to the smallest possible.

Thank you for the reply Tinytiger.

In the windows options (the one from the image you linked), you should be able to select which is your main display. You can also choose which display you want in-game. Go to the Display Settings under the System Configuration.

If the settings keep resetting, try removing the removing the locally-saved data folder (located My Documents > My Games > Final Fantasy XIV). This should reset all of your settings. Try setting them again, then see if they go back to default when you log back in. Be sure to make a backup of this just in case it doesn't resolve the issue.

We hope we can be of assistance in helping you enjoy the exciting world of Final Fantasy XIV!
