I have to say I like and dont like the idea of Seasons.

I personally believe Seasons could be implemented, but it would need to be focused realistically, the whole world becoming snowy, obviously wouldnt make sense in some areas, so it would take time for them to figure out which seasons go where, how it would effect things, etc. I do like the idea of Seasons though, It would make the world feel more real, and I personally am always looking for games that put in real immersion into the game. Where things feel "real".

That being said, I'd rather they work on something else first, and thats proper weather conditions. More importantly exactly how they had it in FFXI. Rainy, Windy, etc. etc. There was even a Gauge showing just how rainy, windy, etc. If it was just rainy it'd show 1 rain drop, if it was really rainy it'd show 2 rain drops. It would also spawn Elementals that coincided with the weather. I.E. if it was rainy out, Water Elementals would randomly spawn in areas, you could then kill them (usually needed to be around lvl 30+ at the minimum) and they'd drop water crystals, etc. Was a good way for crafters to farm crystals. (in FFXIV it'd be crystal shards not full crystals)

Now combine the two, and it'd be pretty cool. Say they add snow for some areas when it gets to be winter, now you can snowy, and even blizzard weather, which can spawn Ice Elementals. <3

If its done right (which I have full confidence in SE if they do add it), I think it'd be a great addition. Though I think it'd have to come in after 2.0 when they revamp the graphic engine.
