Got New Modem - Constant 90ks

My ISP provider is Rogers and they replaced my modem about a week ago.

Since then, I've been getting constant 90ks while in game. They happen at random.

Things I've tried to fix it:

    - modem reset
    - ipconfig /release/dnsflush/renew
    - made all the changes to the internet explorer settings (wiping history, enabling the signature option in advanced settings)
    - doing clean re-install of FF
    - Trying VPNS (WTFast, Pingzapper)
    - forwarded ports on modem even though I was told this wasn't necessary
    - turned off direct x11
    - made all the firewall and security exceptions in anti-virus for FF and VPN (I use Bitdefender)

I'm confident it has something to do with this modem but I'm not well versed in configuring it and I'm running out of things to try. Some are saying this is a modem firewall thing but I haven't found anything very helpful.

You have a PUMA6 modem, sometime a random chance you get a defective one that causes a lot of packet lost.

Tell me if all those grid boxes show red. Please test it with nothing else running on the network. Best to test it direct connection to modem. If you have red all over, call Rogers tell them your modem is defective. If you purchased or rent from them.

when you say nothing else running on the network you just mean no browsers/discord/FF, etc running while its testing right? Would i need to fill in anything specific for the 'server' field? It just fills up automatically for me.

Just hit start with your browser, nothing else mean no other device like phone or your other computers. Just you and your browser.

only 5 of the grid boxes show dark red with a number in them. The rest are green/yellow with a few oranges and 2 light red ones.

Good afternoon and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

I apologize for the delay in our response. It does sound like the router is the issue in this case. Are you connected to it using a wired or wireless connection?

Is this the only modem you own? Is it possible to change it out temporarily to make sure it's the cause of the problem?

We hope we can be of assistance in helping you enjoy the exciting world of Final Fantasy XIV!
