    White scrips crafter

    So, I know the Hq gears penta melded is better, but is the white scrip gear good enough for end game crafting or is it still following the previous trend? Would love to know from someone who has new gears penta melded.

    My gathering set was yellow scrip stuff, which was enough. No way I'm going to spend millions to help me pick daisies more effectively.
    I still don't have any crafters high enough to make collectables yet for scrips, and I'm not sure I want to go out and gather all the materials needed to make turn-ins either, so I'm not sure what I'll do for gear when I finally get one or more to 80.

    I feel like penta-melding will always be the best choice, and rightly so considering how expensive it can be to penta-meld. However... Scrip gear should always be *passable*, just not optimal. Worst case scenario simply consider scrip gear as stepping stones towards HQ Penta gear.

    At least insofar as the main hands go (I have compared every piece of scrip armor to hq crafted) they have more raw stats baseline but cant be melded. Crafted HQ stuff can be melded to get close to the stats of the scrip gear but have the advantage of letting you add CP materia. The additional CP is the real advantage of the crafted hq gear imo. With that said, the scrip gear should be more than enough to craft the current crop of hq lvl 80 items. When new items are added of higher difficulty you should still reasonably be able to make those things (CP food/tea can help). Beyond that I can't say.

    White scrip stuff is fine for the moment, though you cannot use a 1 button reuse rotation OR a 1 button reuse/reclaim macro with it, which for me makes it not worth it at all.

    Additionally, once we get new master books, you're going to see a difference due to scrip gear lacking a lot of CP compared to overmeld gear.

    Well, yeah. I can pretty much get most things HQ with my previous penta meld right now. Just thinking about the longevity of scrip ones. Its not hard to get them but its still work haha
