So, according to you, if someone says they are a “computer science graduate”, that is false. Haha, good to know. Listen, do you have multiple accounts that are omnicrafter? Not alts. Actual paid accounts. Do you have 10 retainers that all list things? Do you make 1 billion gil on average monthly? If the answer is “No”, I believe you don’t know what you’re talking about, so you can stop with that illogical nonsense. Come to my server and speak to me, instead of going on and on on this forum. You really need to cut it out with the assumptions.

Also, this game was designed for a serious player base, it was only until 4.0 where Yoshida wanted to make it very casual. If you went back in time and started crafting in 3.1, let me know how much of an easy breeze that was for you. Because it probably wouldn’t be.

By the way, the ones who were “at the top” in 3.0, most of them stopped playing. I don’t know what imaginary crafters you’re thinking of, but it’s just not so. Sorry, but hardcore players deserve content, not just you.

Nobody brags about being a computer science graduate, lol.

And wow, more bragging. So, lemme get this straight, you're here going "I never said I was elitist" and now you're looking down your nose at me going "filthy pleb, you don't even make 1 million gil a month, what do you know!? You don't have several omnicrafter accounts, and 10 retainers!"

(Hint: I think you're playing the wrong game, personally. Why would you wanna do that in a game that wasn't even built for this kind of stuff to begin with?)

Also, this game was designed for a serious player base, it was only until 4.0 where Yoshida wanted to make it very casual. If you went back in time and started crafting in 3.1, let me know how much of an easy breeze that was for you. Because it probably wouldn’t be.
Uh, no, Yoshi-P wanted the game to be more laid-back, he wanted people to take breaks in-between tiers of content, and he wanted a more laid-back approach to it. Heck, we didn't even start seeing Savage content until what was that, near the end of Heavensward? And Ultimate wasn't a thing until mid-Stormblood.

By the way, the ones who were “at the top” in 3.0, most of them stopped playing. I don’t know what imaginary crafters you’re thinking of, but it’s just not so. Sorry, but hardcore players deserve content, not just you.
    I love the self-entitlement here.

    "Hardcore players DESERVE content".

    Okay, um... whatever.

You take it upon yourself to create all of these accounts, and do all of this levelling and such like some kind of addict when that is clearly not the norm, and you stand here going "I DESERVE CONTENT AIMED AT ME AND THE VERY FEW WHO ARE LIKE ME".

    If that isn't self-entitlement, I don't know what is.

Wow. Even with facts and sound logic, some folks still just want to be hostile. Do me a favor and put me on your Ignore List, saves me the trouble of doing it myself. That’s two people today.

Does anyone actually want to discuss this without being hostile?

    LOL.

    We're being hostile!?

    Just wow.

Who knew, whoever might have guessed that 'facts and sound logic' were actually just codewords for 'a biased interpretation of my personal view of events, used to justify an emotional appeal toward giving me and people like me exclusive access to everything that makes this entire feature of the game even worth pursuing.'

Crafter mains, who actually legitimately think that sitting down with a stack of materials and following a flowchart for eight hours means that they should by all rights get elected king of the market board; the ones who actually unironically lament quality of life changes because it means that the competition isn't gated out by absurd and punishing RNG requirements. 'Bring back weekly red scrip caps,' they'll cry! 'Reward us alone, the chosen ones, for having eight crafting alts in this great community! It's too easy for the *casuals* to approach being able to craft proficiently! Change it! Change it so I can go back to accumulating my Sisyphean amounts of wealth and feeling smug in my sense of superiority over the fact that I know which button to push if it lights up! It's not good for the health of the game that this system actually benefits people that aren't the 1% of players willing to throw their entire /ptime at it! Fix it!!'

Okay. Now, try rephrasing that without hostile emotion. Then let’s discuss what you’re trying to argue, kay? I don’t have time to argue with people with complete hatred over something that needs to be resolved. Be civil or be ignored. It’s really that simple.

    Spot on.

And LOL @ the response she gives you to this.

    Oi.

I just have to ask, just what does anybody do with 1 BILLION gil per month. Seriously, now. The most expensive thing in the game, not counting player market, is what again, 40-45 million?

I'm envisioning something like Scrooge McDuck. Or it'll be one of those people who thinks buying out an entire housing ward is a cool thing for cool people to do.

    Something like that.

They are partly what is responsible for inflation, as well. The people who have to make ALL the money, and then when they can throw it around all willy-nilly, then the price of everything goes up so they can make even moar money, meanwhile newbies/casuals suffer for it and/or worse, they cause developers to have to change things to combat this.

I wouldn't say that's necessarily 'for worse' - it was already resolved back when they added prudent touch, it seems, and people are only now seeing the writing on the wall now that that trend of making the system approachable has continued up into Shadowbringers.

Turns out having more people able to participate in the highest and most profitable tiers of crafting is a good thing!
