I don't expect the difficulty to occur in normal crafting. They want it to be accessible to everyone with an interest.

The difficulty should come with whatever challenge they're creating for the Ishgard reconstruction leaderboards. They did tell us that it was going to be the end game for crafting and gathering that players have been requesting. It would be pointless to have those leaderboards based off turn ins, which would clearly favor the botters. But we'll have to wait and see just what it is they've created for us.
