There is no magic fix-all solution. Whether it be infrastructure, time/money/resource investment, bots, trolls, re-sellers, big multi-FC groups, solo FCs, 24/7 players, inactive players, on and on and on, literally nothing will ever satisfy every need of both development and community.

You basically have only two options. Complain about how the system currently is. Or complain about how they changed the system.
The solution that some of us were arguing for in the past, reverse auction, has one consequence, and it isn't unforeseen. Its one "issue", which is intentional design: the person who is willing to pay the higher amount wins.

It comes with benefits, of course. Like destroying far more gil from the system, which will eventually lead to lower housing prices. The system fixes itself as it reaches equilibrium.
