As they implemented this system to stop the ones that were grabbing up all the houses in the first couple minutes so that they could resell them at ridiculous prices, they won't change it anytime soon if ever. I'm hoping that eventually they will open housing in some of the new areas (Lakeland yes, please).
Even if they kept this awful RNG timer. I don’t understand how they thought it was ok for someone with a home to freely relocate and start the process over. Along with people having to scramble to figure out where the new vacant is at now.
If we’re going to leave this cancer system in place. Atleast allow the remaining time to be moved to the new demo’d house. This is keeping first time buyers out of housing.

It's simply a leftover from the temporary restrictions that came out. For whatever reason, they still see it as being necessary unlike the restriction on FC houses.Even if they kept this awful RNG tinder. Welp they need to remove it. The awful RNG timer, I can sorta deal with, someone buying the house up under me cause I didn't click fast enough, fine. But for someone to just freely relocate there after we've been waiting hours...is just an awful feeling.
Yeah, last time I spend 18 hours mindlessly clicking the placard. I was even alone most of the time I spend there, then I saw some player running towards the placard so I quickly tried to buy the plot again but still no luck and they just relocated their house.
In total I've spend almost 70 hours in the course of several weeks and have always lost the plot to somebody relocating.
Relocating should have the same random timer as buying, that would fix this issue at least.
Case in point right here ^. Along with someone posting that interview of him saying they have no plans to change the system for the exact reason why I'm bringing up this argument. So I ask you now devs, why exactly are you punishing an entire community for what a bunch of RMT and resellers have done? At the very least, change the relocation rules and shorten the timer so people aren't blowing an entire day for something like this. What happened to making the game something you don't have to devote your entire day to? This system counteracts that point completely.Yeah, last time I spend 18 hours mindlessly clicking the placard. So add instanced housing wards. Then you get all the benefits of instanced housing, while still making a housing community a possibility.
Very simple - they aren't trying to punish the community in any way, they are trying to stop RMT and house resellers. That some people are hurt by the system is collateral damage, not punishment.Case in point right here ^.
