[REQUEST] Please stop making cash shop items for one character on the account.

Hi, I regularly play 4 characters on FFXIV and pay a slightly increased sub for this privilege. I don't like using Fantasia as although I don't RP, I have set character backgrounds for them all and don't wish to change from this. Clearly I'm in the minority here, as the Phial of Fantasia is the top-selling item on the Mogstation. Obviously, that's fine but the minority still matters in my opinion!

I don't think it's fair that if I purchased say, Play Dead for £4.03, I can only use it on one character that might only get used for say, 25-33% of my playtime, while my others go without. I think to expect people who play alts regularly because they like a change of pace for whatever reason to pay several times that much is just greedy - we already pay a subscription as it is.

Yes, I realise I don't have to purchase it and so far, I haven't. The only single character purchase I have made so far was for my wedding. The other was the Fat Moogle mount which although it cost me £17, all my characters can use it. I think all items on the Mogstation should be account-wide like this.

An alternative suggestion would be to say, charge £4.03 for Play Dead and £7 or so for an account-wide version. That way, people with only one character don't have to pay more. Like our subscription fee, we pay a little more to have access to more characters so why can't the Mogstation reflect this too?

I feel this is punishing players who choose to plays alts rather than buy Fantasia and I don't think that's right. I'd appreciate it if you could consider forwarding my points to the people who make decisions regarding this.

For the prices they charge, the cash shop items should be account wide, perhaps not dyes, but the rest should be imho

They are completely out of whack with similar items in other games. Their single character prices are what are the common account-wide prices in other MMOs. They really need to adjust this.

Honestly for several items, the single character prices here are MORE than the common account-wide prices in other MMOs.

Yep, that too. I would love to give them my additional cash, but they don't give me enough value for what they're charging, especially since I have experience with other MMOs. I feel like I'm being gouged and that makes my wallet snap closed.

I would have purchased so much more from the cash shop if the offers were account wide. While the cash shop here is nowhere near as bad as BDO's cash shop, I still do wish they managed certain items better.

I only got the eastern dance because I really wanted it. Then felt the inevitable sadness when switching to an alt and it wasn't there because Id gotten so used to just having it on my hotbar. XIV isn't a Korean cash shop mmo, so I think players paying a sub plus bonus with retainers should be allowed a little leeway for things like that.

I would like to add that in my ideal FFXIV world, the cash shop wouldn't exist. I believe they should only be in free to play games. I have anxiety though and didn't want to be attacked by people who liked it, so didn't mention it initially. I miss how FFXI used to give you stuff from events but even there they added items linked to physical purchases, like the jacket that let you teleport because you bought a RL pendant. Still not the same as a purely digital cash shop though. I agree with everyone that said to get rid of the cash shop. :P It's probably not going to happen though.

Also, I would LOVE the Eastern Dance, but I'm not buying it 4 times.
