    Basic math aside, there is, believe it or not, a more optimal method of making use of PB after the TK Burst that I've come to realize after taking a bit more time to contemplate it. I've updated the TK Burst Guide with this (as well as an extra use for 6SS regarding limit breaks), but basically what happens is this:

    -The Demo placement during RoF becomes the same as it normally is without PB (before the second Boot)
    -PB gets used after the third DK, making the subsequent PB rotation Snap -> Demo -> Boot -> DK -> Boot, followed by DK, an optional 6SS/Anatman combo, and finally Demo again.
    -Twin ends up falling off after the fourth DK, but the Crit LF Boot should make up for this.

    A minor update to the TK Burst Guide. The FoF placement in both the TK Burst and TK Burst Opener has been adjusted to bring more damage out of the last remaining GCDs, however it can still be adjusted to fit TK within the RoF window.

    Just did a quick update. The "Fight Tips" section has been removed. While it's easy to optimize and perfect a rotation on a striking dummy, fight optimization is another story and I don't feel that I'm really qualified to give fight advice as I haven't optimized each encounter in 5.0. ^^;

    Some adjustments have been made after doing some potency comparisons between the openers I've listed in the TK guide with the Balance opener (particularly with the PB burst opener). Also made some adjustments to the non-TK burst rotation when PB is up at the end and you're able to fit in 6 GCDs in it's window (basically do a Snap at the end).

    I swear, I'm gonna have a helluva time with these if 5.1 brings some monk changes, specifically with Anatman. ^^;

    Or you could just follow what is optimal instead of forcing yourself to keep going with this non-optimal guide.

    Hard to do that when the "optimal" method of play emphasizes using third party programs and you play on a console. ^^;

    For the opener, you're somewhat right. But not for general rotation, no, you are not required to have a third party program. Even without the program, using Anatman to just get 1 tick in the opener is still better than not using it.

    Well, yeah, I'm aware of that. Unless you're using a TK Burst during RoF, after the initial opener, there's really no reason to use Anatman outside of boss reconnects. The issue I have with the current Anatman opener is that the second GL gain is inconsistent unless you have control of the pull and know exactly what the server tick falls on. The non-TK opener I listed that uses 6SS before Anatman is more consistent in regards tot he second GL gain.

    Just made another update to the TK Burst Guide. More additions and adjustments made to the openers and burst phases. Also rearranged the format a bit, putting the rotations all in one section before going into details on each one. It's still pretty wordy, but hopefully people have an easier time skimming it and getting an idea of what each opener/rotation looks like before looking into the details of each in later sections.

    Also, I'd like to apologize to those who've checked back regularly on the guide every now and then. I can only imagine how all the edits must appear to people, what with the change log being at least 3 pages in length at this point. MNK's rotation is really crazy GCD intensive and with all the combinations and buff management, it can be a bit tricky to find the best combinations and sometimes misleading until you break everything down bit by bit and take various scenarios into account. Add in moves that have such severe drawbacks that you question when to use them and can be misleading or have hidden drawbacks and it becomes mind boggling.

    I'm very certain that, in terms of rotation, MNK is one of the most difficult classes to master in the game and it's thrown me for a loop time and time again. I'm already anticipating a change to Anatman in patch 5.1 that will make it give an instant GL stack along with its current effect. If and when that happens, while it would be a great boost for TK related bursts, I'm gonna be banging my head against the wall testing Anatman openers.

    If you haven't given up on the guide already, be sure to check back in around that time! And as always, I hope this helps!

    Whew, ok. After a day and a half of math and editing, I've just updated the TK Burst Guide. In accordance with patch 5.1, the changes are as follows:
    - The openers and burst phases have been adjusted, along with sections describing them in detail.
    - Links to GoogleSheet comparison tables have been added for the openers and burst rotations
    - An AoE section has been added.
    -Other small grammar errors have been fixed.

    Gotta say, I'm really unhappy with the change to Anatman. People may say that it was clunky, but it was somewhat manageable when using it along with 6SS. Now it feels extremely clunky and causes you to possibly fall behind a GCD with the openers and TK Bursts. I'd imagine that SE didn't like people using third party programs to make use of Anatman, so they put it on the GCD. However, not only does it make even the regular rotations more clunky, it didn't fix the problem as people will still try to use third party programs to get the server tick for the Anatman opener (I've heard people experimenting with "slide casting" openers, but I feel like that's making things more complicated than they should be).

    I don't mind SE putting Anatman on the GCD, but at the very least make it grant a GL stack immediately or before the next GCD. SE may not like potency nerfs, but I'd have taken that over this. ^^;
