    They did state 3 jobs at once was too much but they also released Rogue/Ninja on 2.4 and then 3 jobs on 3.0. We only got 2 jobs in 4.0 but got the limited job BLU on 4.5 just before 2 jobs on 5.0.

    I think the real issue was how close nin was to ast/drk/mch. With how close blu was to dnc/gnb, especially with how massively they overhauled the combat system details I don't think 3 jobs would be too much. Especially if they don't change gears halfway through development like they did chemist. I mean Machinist.

    I think the heavy option is cooler, and I think the melees are more lacking for another heavy option than another fast one, but mostly I was going for maximum differentiation from Gunbreaker gunblades tbh.
    The odds of getting a second gunblade class are already incredibly slim.
    Depends on the creativity of the Developers though.

    Squall and Lightning's Gunblade gameplay style are very different to a point they can create Two Gunblade Jobs but name the weapons differently due to their design with Squall being more of Explosive heavy mid-speed hits with Magic ammo as the Squall gunbalde tend to focus on transfering Magic energy from Magic ammo into the Blade while Lightning's gunblade combat style has been about high speed slash and gunshot combo as her Gunblade is deisgned with a functional Gun as part of its design thus the Lightning Gunblade is more towards a different design focusing on getting in and out fast.

    Naming the weapon something else isn't hard since they only need Gun.... Weapon that should be related to a sword in some way such as GunEdge Weapon

    Necromancer as a melee healer job. Have them rip out aether from the targets to heal others with their scythe weapon. Since pets got reworked, have their “pet” be a skeleton warrior that prioritize damage and mitigation and/or a ghost of some kind that uses the aether ripped out to aoe heal.

    I just want scholar back tbh. Other than that, I'd live to see a time mage that could stop time, just for the massive amount of Jojo memes it would inspire. (Though, I'm aware, that would be impossible to balance.)

    I'd also be down to have a straight up poison mage. Like summoner, but no pets. Just 5-6 dots and an entire rotation/kit based around those dots and maximizing their damage.

    They could use the Rune concept without 2-h sword and add a "twist" to it, in letting the Rune Knight also have runic spells (similar to FF5's Mystic Knight) where he imbues himself with healing magic and a class-specific passive that makes each of his attack heal the party by whatever amount is reasonable, or has the option to apply rune skills to a party member/the whole party. Give them a mace and off-hand books and call it "Rune Priest". Sorry I'm as creative as a potato. Making it something like an offensive healer. But I dunno how to add enough skills/spells to conform to XIV's "button bloat" or how it could transate usefully to high-end endgame content as I don't care about this type of content.

    Just playing the devil's advocate, but I really think that BST if ever gets implemented will inevitably fall into the limited category, due to the whole "minigame" aspect that combat pets can potentially represent. : /
