What do you do with a Blacklist full?

I get annoyed with shouts in town so I just put them in a separate box in chat. Then, if I wish to check for something useful I can check that tab. Otherwise, I can just ignore it. I have to keep in mind that just because people chatting in shouts bugs me, it does not bug everyone. It's my problem so I have a workaround. My problem, my responsibility.

OP I'm not sure what it is that is bothering you but perhaps a server change is in order? Now we can visit other servers on our data centers why not go check out some other worlds? Maybe you can find one with people who fit with your idea of what you want to be around. Worth a shot, right? Alternatively, ask around. Find out what type of community each server has and if you'd like to join them.

As to the full blackllist just take the RMT off. They change names constantly anyway so ti's rather pointless to blacklist them.

I tried to get a GM response, but was given the generic beep boop reply of "just add the player to your blacklist" and when I didn't close the issue, I got another full of nonsense that had nothing to do with my submitted question on what to do when it's full.

There are many a children in /shout and for hunts/fate spawn call outs, I shouldn't have to keep a whole form of player communication off because some kids are being dumb. There is also NN (to which I also have a thread on but but it is kill) that's so low quality that it's worse than shout. If I were to report them all for racist posting, overly sexual "cute and funny" posting of underage characters, ect- I know for a fact I'd just get the above robotic response.

So, please- what is the solution to people being obnoxious, but you're limited to 200? There is also the case of endless bots spamming the chat, and I blacklist them to not see spam when in an ARR city state. Reporting the hoards of people would be a job that even an accountant would shirk. And when I do report, I doubt any action is honestly taken. Maybe a side note but a GM just shrugs and let's them keep at it.

Remove old entries in the blacklist and enter the new people who are more offensive to you. If you reach a point at which you cannot enjoy the server you are on at all... transfer?

I just checked my blacklist and I have exactly 0. Sure, I've met my fair share of jerks in-game but I generally will probably forget about them 5 minutes later lol. I don't mean this in a mean way, but out of those 200 instances where you had to blacklist somebody, you were the common denominator. PLEASE don't take offense to that, I'm just stating a fact and something to think about.

Then they should be asking the developers, not making a post about it in general discussion. This is a place where players come to... discuss things. Last I checked, none of us will be able to give them additional blacklist space. The only thing we can do is offer advice about how THEY can handle the problem differently.

Actually the in game notes for the Suggest a Feature section in Active Help recommend posting suggestions to the FFXIV General Discussion section of the forums.

I thought I'd mentioned it in my OP, maybe I didn't. But I did try to contact SE via the in game Support Desk. This was not filed under harassment or cheating, it was done under contact a GM followed by submitting a general inquiry. To which I got a beep boop robotic response of them being unable to help with in game features and not at all related to what I asked. Followed by, "Speaking with other members of our community can also be helpful. In addition to having in-game conversations, you are also welcome to use our Official Forums."

I came here not for psychology, nonchalance and accusations. I came here for theorizing solutions, possible solutions and suggestions/feedback from those who could have had a similar problem. Even in the minor pool that is the forum community.
