This problem is perhaps most visible with hunts, but its scope is much broader. When we get down to it, most other players are just not important as far as rendering is concerned. The rendering priorities everywhere, in all cases, should be modified:
- The player
- Enemies
- NPCs
- Party members
- Other PCs who are currently targeted by enemies
- ...
- ...
- ...
- ...
- ...
- ...
- Everyone else
I would even argue that this list trumps distance. Please render all of the enemies in my range of vision before you even consider rendering other players.
