I did it yesterday by using LV50 Warrior. The green dots on the minimap are not displaying, thus can't avoid to make noise. I passed it by randomly selecting the chests, and made about 10 noises, don't know why did I pass.Anyone met it before?

This does seems bugged. When i helped a friend with it, it just randomly failed/completed...
I believe that you just need to check all chests (and find the key item and the NPC) before you reach a certain number of noises...but it's just a guess.
I did this one last night. I couldn't figure out how not to make noises. After eight tries, I just ran through and clicked all the chests except the one with the sleeping pirate as fast as I could. I had seven "You made a noise" messages in my log and then "Objectives complete". Makes no sense.
Don't Run! Just Walk and avoid the mouse
and you will be good! ^_^
Took me about 15 goes to get this right. I started with the chest/barrel that spawns the pirate, killed him then just ran round until I managed to get the other items before it could tell me I had made a noise.
I'll just chime in to say that I had the exact same problem. No green dots showed up, walking instead of running didn't help, avoiding the mouse thing didn't help. After 4 tries I just started trying to rush through it all and managed to complete it the third time, even if I had 6 "you made a noise" messages and had only opened two of the chests. Seems completely crazy to me.
Try taking off your platemail boots? Might be insane to try, but SE has implimented weirder mechanics.I'll just chime in to say that I had the exact same problem. From the looks of it, it seems as if there is a specific order to opening the chests that does not "agro" the mouse.
If the creaky floor board (green dots) aren't showing up that could be a graphical/instance bug.

Stay on the outside of the room. There is metal lining the outside of the floor. Walk on that whenever possible and you should avoid the floor creaking. Ignore the mouse. You will make a noise each time you open a chest and when you kill the pirate who was sleeping behind the crate. As long as you don't make any extra noises, you will complete it.
If it matters, I started on the right side and walked around the room. I didn't have any trouble when I stayed on the metal.
The command /sigh does not exist.
