No everything you've stated has in fact been an opinion.several semi popular opinions but opinions nonetheless.
I sincerely meant what I said have fun elsewhere.
"Sometimes I wonder I heal for fun. or if I heal because I'm a glutton for punishment."

I think its ironic you're looking to go to another game because there's a small bit of bullying here.
So which game are you going to go to? WoW and ESO have parsers built into their systems through LUA addons. They're not going to request your logs, they already know your score. You're simply going to get a yes or no. The Everquests uses parses as well, in fact all the modern parsers ARE Everquest parsers with addons used to work on other games. Couple this with the fact that FFXIV has the most respectable community going right now despite its 'issues'.
If you're looking for unique content and FFXIV is not doing it for you. I'm going to say this. You beaten MMORPGs. Congrats. No other MMO is going to give you more unique boss and dungeon mechanics. The other games copy from FFXIV and do so poorly due to their systems not being capable for it. I've done Mythical raiding in WoW and it doesn't even compare to Savages in FFXIV. Same with ESO veteran content. Hell some of that can be done with 3 DPS and a Healer and no tank.
Right before Elsywer came out we did an endgame Trial (12 man) with 11 people. Tank had to go and we completed the bosses with 11 people, no tanks. Just 3 Healers and 8 DPS. After the expansion hit, my friends and I cleared through it with 4 Necros. One tanking, one healing, and two magicka dps. Just rolled through. That's why I came back to FFXIV.
I'm not saying you're making the wrong decision, but I can attest the grass isn't greener. You might just be burnt out on MMOs. I'd suggest Conan Exiles, but bullying is kind of what that game is built around doing. And you don't look like one who is competitive.

This doesn't matter either if you're seeking casual statics that don't care about them. And these do exist - I've seen them advertised and been in them. They only become important if you're looking to join more hardcore ones that push for fast progression, speed runs, or pad runs. Or who want to tackle Ultimate content because you do actually need to be decent to clear that content.

A proper analogy would more akin to baseball where only a couple teams, at most, ever win and no new players worth rooting for come into the fold -- a "baseball" but with a stark decline in spectator emotion since there's little to no change in the circumstances, story, or figures within the sport.
I don't think that's the case here, but there's no need to strawman.
Then why the incredulity that a player's enthusiasm for, say, an MMO might decline in the same way when the figures or other potential emotional attachments fail to grasp a player/spectator, even if no one expected the shape of the experience to change much anyways?
Again, this isn't a concern I share, exactly. To me, the game is doing well at the moment -- far from perfect, but well, on the whole.

See, I only watched baseball for a few players, and when they retired, i stopped, so that analogy doesn't work well for me XDA proper analogy would more akin to baseball where only a couple teams, at most, ever win and no new players worth rooting for come into the fold -- a "baseball" but with a stark decline in spectator emotion since there's little to no change in the circumstances, story, or figures within the sport.

While I understand that your feeling frustrated, my personal opinion is this expansion is the best they have ever done. The final dungeon was probably the most Final Fantasy dungeon I have ever seen them make. While this game is not for everybody, I do hope you take a brief break and come back with fresh eyes. You may enjoy what you see and if you don't, then you will be able to make an informed decision about the future of your gameplay.
You've been here for 4 years and you barely realized now that it's the same thing over and over?
I mean, don't get me wrong, I hate that it is. But I've come to accept it, and spend my time on the game sparingly in accordance.
I may agree in that the team might underestimate us, our capabilities, and our interests. How they changed the classes (while also doing a double whammy on healers by not giving us a new healer and homogenising them, all while giving us the same excuses as last time) was not good.
However, the story was taken in a new direction. The story itself has had tremendous growth. To start, our characters were just goody-two-shoes who could not say no. S/He had to fight constantly. And, as a player, I was burnt out. ARR was total crap. HW was very good, but I was burnt out by the end of that one, too. SB had potential but it was thrown to the wind and not directed very well (imo). Shadowbringers has been, by far, the most enjoyable and potentially FF-like story thus far. It's just a shame that everything else (minus the music) either had corners cut or were sabotaged.
But yeah. It's up to you if you go elsewhere. I remember trying out other MMOs a while back, and even at FF's worst: most MMOs I tried paled in comparison by far. They may have done certain things better, but their pros didn't outweigh FF's cons. That's just my experience, though. You might find your niche elsewhere.
I won't be coming back to FFXIV's forums. The forum vibe is way too venomous and brings out the worst in me. I don't like who I am on the forums, so it's best to distance myself.
