I had always wondered why tanks would stand outside of the bubbles. Until I once ran a roulette with a SMN friend, me as WHM, and our tank would always move an inch out of the bubble/shadowflare. We made sure to only place them once he had stopped moving, but he still got out as soon as we placed them. When I asked why, he said he had other player effects off to reduce lag, so he couldn't see them, and apologized.

After that my friend and I started placing it randomly as a joke, betting whether or not he would get in either of them. He never noticed, and the other dps didn't say a thing. At least he was chill about it.

On another note, I can't say I've had much trouble on Crystal myself. I can count on one hand how many issues I've had with other players and while that still isn't an excuse to be a dick, it's an uncommon thing that happens (in my experience anyway). BL, report, continue with your day.

Was running Malikah's Well today to level and noticed the tank was standing just outside the White Mage's Asylum for all of the fight, so I figured a little heads-up might be helpful. Had to type it quickly as he was racing for the exit. After leaving, I got the delightful tells you see above. The kind of toxicity Crystal has now is really making me miss being part of Aether.

I understand how you feel and absolutely agree this guy was 100% wrong. I also agree you should report. I have a suggestion. I see a lot of things people do in dungeons that are considered "wrong". I usually ask the person if they mind some tanking/healing/dps tips before I tell them. People are VERY touchy when you instruct them. Regardless the response from this guy is absurd and should be reported.

You're right, he should have said "Please, king of kings. God above mankind. I know I may be dirt, but please stand in the bubble." It's the only way to show you aren't being a jackass, after all.

Wow. All these "horror" stories about Crystal, and yet I've never come across anything like these and I'm in Crystal, too. In fact, I've been finding my new "home" to have a lot more friendly interactions, even if a bit quiet. I'm thankful I haven't run into issues like this yet...

I'm glad you reported them. That kind of behaviour is unacceptable. :/ Here's hoping the toxicity levels will decrease once the expansion's newness wears off.
