Unless it's buried in the really long thread on revelations, I haven't seen one on this. So, at the end of the battle with Emit/Hades, we see Amaurot as it really is now, just a wrecked, decaying, skeletal city.

So why, when we go there post msq, do we see it as Emet created it? I know it may be for "reasons having to do with the optional dungeon", but we've seen other areas in the game physically change due to our actions, and the change persists. So why not there?

One thought I had is maybe we see it as it really is from the height we're at after the battle, above the influence of Emet's magic, and that what we see from ground level may fade over time without him to sustain it. But even that seems kinda hand-wavy at this point.
