    Shadowbringers Updater not updating?

[Posted this also in Reddit] So I was really excited to try Shadowbringers when I came back on my trip but when i suddenly started downloading it, at first it seemed fine but it would gradually slow down the MB/s and then end up at 0.00MB/s and then not download at all. What i first did was retry installing it(needed to end it with Task Manager because it wouldn't exit out by simply pressing the 'x' button or 'cancel'). I then restarted my laptop, nothing. I then changed the file to my D:\ drive because I thought that it would just a file error and C:\ already seemed too full, that didn't work. I looked at this site: https://appuals.com/fix-ffxiv-unable...d-patch-files/ and tried many of the methods(didn't actually try the VPN one yet) and nothing happened. Then I deleted everything that was from FFXIV and then reinstalled it, still nothing. I looked at another subreddit and one of the reasons was because of the servers? and I've been told there has been too many people playing it rn, but I seriously do not want to wait and be more behind than I already am. If anyone has any other solution pls help! Thank you! [also it wont show me the error that pops up for a lot of people, it just stops updating; also connected to my wifi and not directly connected to the router]

Good afternoon and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

It's difficult to tell why this is happening, but my first thought is the wireless connection you are using. You may be running into some interference. Can you try connecting to the router using an Ethernet cable?

If this does not resolve the issue you may want to double-check that your anti-virus has the proper exceptions for the game.

Also you may want to check if the following port ranges are open in your router. You can contact your ISP and request that they open them for you:
    ▼TCP
    54992 through 54994,
    55006 through 55007,
    55021 through 55040

We hope we can be of assistance in helping you enjoy the exciting world of Final Fantasy XIV!
