Question / Clarification Regarding Housing

Okay so, I am pretty confused regarding the housing system, since I don't own a personal house myself, however I am a tenant to my ceremony of eternal bonding partner. And this is the part that confuses me.

When I check under timers, I see I don't have an estate myself, yes I know that's normal. and well, my main question is basically this.

"Can I own a personal house of my own while being a tenant to my partner or is that against the Terms of Service?"

As in, she would have a personal cottage / house, and I would have a personal cottage / house of my own as well. But again, I have no clue if this is considered breaking the Terms of Service since I am a tenant to her land.

I need some clarification on this. Even though I have been playing this game for a very longtime now, alot of things in this game regarding homes for Terms of Service really confuses me, and I have not figured it out yet.

So can anyone clarify this please?

You can be a tenant in 2 houses privately owned by other players while owning your own home. There is no service violation occurring.

Estates will only appear under timers if they're getting close to demolition (I think I remember it showing up for my friend's house when I was his tenant at about 20 days left, might be remembering that incorrectly though).

Each character can (all at the same time):

• Own 1 personal estate (restricted to one per world per account)
• Own 1 fc estate/be part of an fc with a personal estate.
• Own 1 private room
• Own 1 apartment
• Be a tenant of up to 2 personal estates.

How do you get 1 character into 8 FCs simultaneously? Oh, right, you can't.

Dusty's reply did try clarify the amount of FC houses a player can own, even though the OP actually never asked about it . Mentioning that you can "be part of" is misleading when comparing with the information provided by the outdated housing guide found on the lodestone. We're all striving for accurate information here, sit back and relax.
