Alt characters and housing

We now got restriction that every account can own only one house per server, across all characters. As for this decision alone, I think it is great and how it should have been. However, along with it we should finally get an ability to add our alt characters to friend list, and along that or especially, as housemates. Having just one house on the account is more than fair, if I could actually use that house on the characters on that account.

Edit: instead of letting us friendlist out alts which they seem to be reluctant to do, as conversed later in the thread it would be great if alt characters could automatically have usage rights for the "account house". Such as ability to use vendors, furniture, stables and other house functionality.

I could see adding alts on the same server having owner rights for houses and allow us to continue to add 4 players not tied to the account as roomies.

They really need to allow this. I don't have any especial desire to own a house on my alt, even though I could easily afford to. I don't play him enough to really justify taking up a house someone else could enjoy; but it would be really nice to have access to the features of a house without necessarily having to be in the same FC as my main.

That was a glitch they fixed years ago. You used to be able to log them out while in dungeons, and send them a request while on the other char since it leaves your char in that instance. You can no longer send requests to them this way though.

OR... You could just make a Free Company, invite your alternate characters to it and level it up to Rank 4 so you can purchase housing. Though personally... I think if you're gonna do that, I would just settle for a small or medium house than a large. Not that you don't have any less right to own a large house though. I just think Free Companies who are actually trying to grow a community deserve the bigger plots. In any case, that's what you can do if you're willing to do it. However, do keep in mind that the best way to level up a Free Company would be to do your Duty Roulette and spam FATEs for days...
