    error 2002 with NA connection

    I am getting an error 2002 "The Lobby server connection has encountered an error." when connecting to NA data centers. I can connect to European data centers or Japanese, which take me to the character creation screen without issue. It passes the version check, and login screens fine. It goes to the Shadowbringers trailer page and then won't connect after clicking "Start" or if you select "Data Center" and select any of the NA servers. I turned off my modem and computer for 30 minutes, and the issue continues.

    I got this error too. I’m not sure if it’s because of my connection or the server is congested at the moment?

    Any news? Were you able to connect?

    Good afternoon and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

    If you are able to connect to other data centers, but not the North American ones, you may be running into an issue along your route to those particular servers. This may be caused by a routing issue or some sort of congestion before you get to North American Data Center.
