Unless your sticks have been made/set to digital, we definitely can tell. M/KB players' characters start off sprinting and come to full stop when moving and stopping. Whereas controller players accelerate into a walk then run and likewise slow down when coming to a stop.
The only PC players on a Keyboard you'll see walking are RPers.
As for preferences, people may group with whomever they wish. What I don't understand is why the OP is ticked he can't group with these people. Why would he want to group with people that do not wish to group with him? You're not missing anything except for arguments.
I never start in a walk and into a run on PS4, so have no freaking clue what you are talking about. I've never been called out for playing on PS4 Pro and I am sure no one knows. I am sick of PC elitism.Unless your sticks have been made/set to digital, we definitely can tell. M/KB players' characters start off sprinting and come to full stop when moving and stopping. What you see on your screen is different than what we see. There's no elitism there, just reporting what I see when someone uses a controller.
My bf & I just did a couple tests on this, and we're both still confused by what you're exactly seeing.
He uses controller so I watched his character move several times with a controller, then he plugged in his keyboard and moved using that instead. Zero difference in the movement, start-up/slow-down of the movement, it was indistinguishable, and his sticks are set to analog. Even on his screen he notes that his character never starts "walking" and starts at full run when he moves forward, only when he tilts his stick intentionally to only walk does it ever walk, and also notes his character comes to a dead-stop whenever he releases the control stick.
So unless you got video of this in action, I really don't know what you're seeing, as both movements are identical from another's perspective.

No reason to be defensive about it. Its what's seen on our end. Its not like I said I was going to kick you from the group for it. Though some of the rudeness others are showing could be subject to a group kick for that. But that's an unrelated issue.
I'm not defensesive at all. And if it sounds rude it's cause it's false. That's not correct information and I'm just correcting on that. Whatever the hell you're seeing isn't cause of a PS4. Sounds like you're having internet issues. Noone and I mean noone has to ramp up to run on PS4. You just go. If they ARE stepping like they are hot foots then that's clearly a net issue. And who is -our-? Cause last I check everyone replying to you is correcting you.. not agreeing with you.

… I'm not sure what this "have been made/set to digital" exactly means but what? No? I use controller without any modifications and I start run right when I start moving and stop right when I stop moving. I only start moving with walking when I do this intentionally because I want to walk.Unless your sticks have been made/set to digital, we definitely can tell. That's gold one, really.
On topic: if people get hitting by things, it's most likely their connection, not their PS.
