    Interject is now the fancy word for "Silence."
    Anything that could be Silenced in 2.0 - 4.5 by Bard or Paladin can now be Interjected instead.
    Silence only works on Spells.
    Things like Water, Aero, Thunder, etc. And of course, some have much fancier names.

    Stun should be saved for stopping physical Abilities like Final Sting etc.

    Not mostly, it is useless.
    Thrash mobs pulls pass usually unnoticed and in the only chance where stopping an attack would make difference (boss battles) the attacks are all unblockable. Also as other people pointed out the ability overlap with stun

    It's literally just the new "silence." You can use it to stop spells, like scylla/xande nukes during WoD, or the paralyze during Qarn, etc. Its functionality hasn't changed at all. It used to say "inflicts silence for one second," now it says "interrupts." Both ranged and tanks already had these abilities, they already had their place, it's just been highlighted so people stop screwing it up/ignoring it.

    What I find odd is how they made a system around this skill to highlight skills that can be interrupted but there's some that don't show this that can still be interrupted. I don't get it tbh.

    some A mark hunts attacks can be interjected, but I think they reworked it for a reason. it might be used in end game stuff to some degree like it once was in 2.0

    The only time I used interject so far this expansion is for the 2nd ShB dungeon. When the little blue frog guy is linked to an add during a pull and if you interject him before the cast it'll stop him from buffing the add.

    I know that during The Twinning dungeon there is an enemy on the way to the 2nd boss that has an interruptable ability called Beserk that boosts it's damage. And if you pull big you really need to interrupt that. If you don't, even a well geared healer will have a very hard time keeping you alive. It's one of those dungeons that you may have to use a tank LB if you decided to pull big.

    I don't think it's anything new to use Silence-based actions in high end content though is it. Off top of my head, o7s required someone to Silence Ultros from using stoneskin and I think Wreath of Snakes has something similar with the first group of adds? There might be other duties that require the action but seeing as ranged DPS and NIN could fill this role, it wasn't so important for tanks to do it but the mechs still existed.

    2. That if something sounds like a spell and deals magical damage, unless it ought be outright immune as per a boss, than it should be interruptable, just as I would have hoped for from the Silence effects it replaced (which obviously had the same issue).
    3. Ideally, it should double as a Pacify as well, since that DR system has been otherwise removed.
