Just wondering if there were plans to upgrade the Mac client to 64-bit prior to the release of MacOS Catalina. I searched the forum but didn't find any discussion and Catalina will no longer be supporting 32-bit applications.

Download 64-bit here.
Although I can confirm it works on Mojave, it fails to run on Catalina at this time. It crashes during launcher start after it checks for updates. Haven't been able to got a log for it yet.
Update: Still haven't found the loading log (nor does it show anything when running via terminal) but from what I can gather, it's related to changes in how Catalina allows apps to run as other software that says will work wont without a some work to load directly.

I am having the same issues. However, I am getting the message that Apple can't verify the app and it has to be updated. Any ideas when this will happen?
That specific error is due to Apple's new requirements that apps not only be signed by them but notarized (process by which they verify the contents of the app package hasn't been modified) as well.
As for when they'll update CrossOver to support Catalina, that'll be between the WINE Team and CrossOver as the issue is directly in WINE. With that being said, I imagine it will be September or October before it's fixed.... sadly.
Did some more research on how WINE is planning to handle Catalina and found one of their discussions. CodeWeavers (uses WINE under the hood and who SE uses to run FF14 on macOS) is working on the issue but I'm not holding my breath that it'll be done by the time Catalina is released.
The number of changes Apple made under the hood made the move to Catalina a hard path by preventing all 32bit programs from running.

I was running the 64-bit ffxiv client fine for the past month or so before the latest update, but as of this week’s ffxiv update I was stuck in black screen mode, which rendered the game unplayable. It seemed like the game was being displayed in an inaccessible space or something, as it would appear momentarily when you switch to or from another program.
The fix for me was resetting configuration settings. Also I believe ffxiv may require accessibility permissions. Full screen doesn’t seem to be working properly but you can run in windowed mode and then zoom to full screen.
DualShock4 seems to work paired over Bluetooth except for the touchpad.
