I deleted all the patch files from the directory and am in the process of re-downloading them.

You mentioned the Windows Memory diagnostic said that there were hardware issues?
Yes, the report didn't give any information that I could translate into a problem. It just said to contact the manufacturer of the computer. BIOS shows all 12GB of memory present and working properly.

Modern bios doesn't do a thorough RAM-check. It just looks if the RAM is responding normally. A broken RAM can cause any error (since the data is altered randomly) or bluescreens.

Ok, so from the RAM standpoint, should I actually contact ASUS about Corsair memory? Should I re-seat the memory?

Contacting the mainboard- and RAM-Manufacturers about the problem might be a good idea. Can't cause any harm at least. You could try using only 1 RAM (try each) but the performance will be halved then (no dual channel obviously).

Don't think you should waste your money but just saying some of the CE disk did came corrupt which could be this issue. Try everything else if it does not work then i guess get a new one or buy the online version.

Ok, I am going to let this Updater finish re-downloading the version update files once more and then I am going to try one stick of RAM in each seat to see if I can find an error in either the seat or the RAM itself. If I cannot come up with an error from that troubleshoot I will at least have the prepared information for the companies when I contact them.

UPDATE: I decided to install Final Fantasy XIV on my reserve machine and while installing the CD/DVD portion, not one error. I will be moving that copy to an external hard drive and then moving the copy to the main machine for the update portion of the install. If I run into any errors during that portion on my main machine I will begin the update on my reserve machine and re-do the moving technique with the external.

I have deleted anything that had "Final Fantasy XIV" in its contents so that I have a fresh palate to work with. I also did a memory check with re-seating each stick in each different seat to come up with no errors. I however do believe through further research that the error was stemming from the CD-ROM drive on my main machine. This has been other user's problem in the past.

I still have about 25 minutes to go with the transfer to the external hard drive and will update as soon as I know something new!

UPDATE: The secondary system has installed, updated, and is a working/playable version of the game. Let the transfer begin. I am still in shock and questioning why a system right next to my main system can do all of this on its first try but my main cannot...

Dirt inside the DVD-ROM? Does it have problems reading other DVDs?
